  • [Question] Blue Bayou Priority Seating?

Is it ever too soon to call for Lunch Priority Seating at the Blue Bayou?

I mean.. I'd call today if they'd take my reservation for this summer.

What time is best for a reservation? 11:00 beats the lunch crowds, but by going at 11 you will probably miss out on an hour or so you can get smaller lines for rides.

What about 11:30? Beat the lunch rush, and squeeze another 1 or 2 rides in with shorter ride line times before the influx of afternoon visitors.
Hoping to raise enough money to go to DL from Pennsylvania with my wife for our 5 year anniversary. (We went there on our honeymoon!)

If you would like to contribute to the cause for a relatively poor private school teacher. Please private message me. I'd be very thankful.

dude, (or dudette) don't over think this too much, It been a while since I made reservations, but I think it can only be done at a max of 90 days in advance (??) anyway, if youre going for the whole day, + or - an hour isnt anything to to wring your hands about, lighten up and go with the flow.

Sorry, but, you have no right to preach this to them! Maybe YOU need to lighten up!

This person IS right that you can only make a PS 90 days in advance, so, I'd call then.

Isn't it 60 days in advance?

I just called today for BB PS because it is exactly 60 days until my birthday

OK 90 days or 60 days? hehe.. well i still got about 30 days before 90 days.. getting close though.

hey that 30 minutes can be a + - of an hour or more so in the park to be honest.

Think about it this way.. a 15 minute line before lunch could turn into a 45 minute line after lunch. Now if that happens for 2 rides that's,
          1 hour of lost time.

That probably won't happen, but I'm just trying to plan lunch at a good time.

11:30 is the first seating you can get at the Blue Bayou for lunch, as it's when they open. Get there early...like at least by 11 and stand in sort of a queue like fashion waiting till they actually let you check in for your priority seating, which is usually about 11:20. If you do this right you should be one of the first people to check in and can easily request a water side table. They will give you the run around about you will have to wait longer...but I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my seating time, since they have just opened and all tables are clear. Most of the time I am the first or second person called.

You can make Priority Seating 60 days in advance, unless they have changed it.

thanks guys.. 60 days in advance 11:30 it will be..~

would it help ensure me some priority seating if I say that this is our honeymoon?

or would that not make any difference with the CMs?

Your P-S arrangements are assured as soon as you make them.

                  I assure you!

They might ask you if it is for a special occassion, and you can certainly offer your info to them, but even the folks that are not as lucky as you to be going on your honeymoon can be assured the same thing: A P-S arrangement...

Disney Dining used to email you your arrangements, but for some reason (???) they no longer offer that.

Uhg- Priority Seating is taking forever to get through to. I've been on the phone, waiting, for about 10 minutes now. I was waiting for 15 minutes, then they put me through to a constant ring tone, where nobody picked up.

Drat! I've decided to visit on my bday (May 1), which is only 3 weeks away..it may be too late to make ressies...waiting on the phone line is getting very annoying though.

WOW, as many times that we call Disney Dining, we've never experienced that.

                        Hang in there!

It sure won't hurt to mention it. When I called for ps before we went in march, they asked if we were celebrating anything and I said yes, we are, its my birthday.

We got waterside seating without asking. It appeared to me that others celebrating birthdays were along the water too.

I got the runaround when I called dining a few months ago, too, but I called back about 3 times in a row and that worked.
                            Good morning, son
                            In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                            It was pain
                            Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

something that I try when calling disney dining is (well, if I remember to get up early) is call early in the day like 6am or 7am. I have found that the earlier the better. wait time for a cast member to help you? 5-10 minutes.

regarding getting a seat? if you dont have a reservation, you might be able to get a walkin table, but you might have to wait a little longer. and, waterside tables are also on an availability basis.
