[Question] What Day is the Studio Open to the Public?

Each Christmas (for years now) the Disney Studio (in Burbank) opens its grounds to the public, specifically for shopping and lunch. They have access to the buena vista entrance, the company store (both sides), one cafeteria, and a small portion of the grounds.

OK, does anyone know what day the studio will be open this December? Usually it's an early Saturday in the month. Or will Disney not do it this year due to the public showings of Frog?

I did this once. It was a lot of fun.

I'm sorry I don't remember where I read it so I can't back this statement up, but I did just read that they no longer do this. Sorry.

They're having a special Princess and the FRog event there, at least, instead of having it at El Capitan, because Xmas Carol will be there till January, cause they want to keep it running through the holidays. =)

Check out this column I found just today on, ahem, another website... written by Micechat's own Sue Kruse, no less!

From the sounds of it, that day may be November 18 (Mickey Mouse's birthday), which would have been just two days ago.

That's true, but both the author and the OP described this as an annual event, so I figured it was the same one.

I was just wondering this myself. I got to go once a few years ago, and was wanting to go again. I think I had found out about it on another site, but I can't remember which one now. I hope someone posts an answer soon!

Yeah, it was Sue Kruse who said the "craft fair" at Disney Studios is no longer, at the article from a couple weeks ago:

Althought the craft fair is no longer, last year, the Disney Studios Store and Commissary was open, primarily for a book signing on Dec 13th, 2008. I was hoping they might do something similar this year, but no news on that for 2009.

The Studio Store is open to the public Saturday 12-12 from 10:00am-4:00pm and Sunday 12-13 10am-3:00pm.

Is it possible to tour the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank during the rest of the year, too? Does Disney offer tours through the studios?
