We were married at Catal this year. We didn't want a traditional here-comes-the-bride type of wedding, we wanted one that would be big on class, lots of fun, great food and wine and with lovely intimacy. After months of research we booked the fireplace room and veranda at Catal in Downtown Disney and gathered our favorite 80 people in the world together. They were told we'd be married earlier in the day. Instead, at a certain time we had them gather at the fireplace, our old friend sang "Feels Like Home," and we were married with our friends and family crowded around informally. Then we had the best wedding dinner anyone's ever had! The staff was incredible - to this day they stop by our table when we're there and say hello and how much they loved our wedding. For the evening, by the way, they sectioned the room off with billowing drapes and set the room up to accommodate the surprise, impromptu ceremony. I believe they'll arrange and set up anything you want - incredible people to work with! To a person our guests continue to insist that it was the classiest, most meaningful, intimate, fun and beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. The best part - by Catal AND all wedding standards, it was surprisingly inexpensive for us! If you're thinking about unusual, beautiful, fun, reasonable, intimate weddings think about Catal! Re: Everyone Should Get Married at Catal!
Aww, sounds like it was a great wedding!Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: Everyone Should Get Married at Catal!
My husband and I just had our anniversary dinner at Catal last night. It was, as always, wonderful fine dining. We shared our choices which started with the soup of the day; "Banana Nut Squash". Then the appetizer, "Jamon Iberico de Bellota or Para Negra" - acorn fed, Spain's finest ham with "pan con tomate". A very good "Ceasar Salad". And then the main course (which is enough for two), "Paella a la Valencia" - scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp, chicken and chorizo sausage with saffron rice and aioli. Sooooo delicious! It looked almost exactly like this.
After all that food we were too full for any kind of dessert. We opted for something when we got home, instead.
