I am planning on going to Disneyland for 1 day and was think of just purchasing a SoCal Select pass since it is not much more expensive than a one day pass. However the day I am going is blocked out on that particular pass but I heard from a friend that an annual pass is valid on the first day no matter what. Is this true?

I can also confirm, the First Day of Use (Purchase) of an new AP is never blocked out, due to the fact you need to enter the park to get your photo taken.Check out my Theme Park Photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com
