  • [Question] transportation: Disneyland to John Wayne Airport

We plan on going straight to the airport from the park. Whats the best way to go about this? Are there any non hotel shuttles that can take us or is Taxi our only option? Any one know how much it costs for a taxi?

I prefer a Taxi for its convience, about $40 plus tip one way.

Gray Line offers the Disneyland Express Airport Bus, and there are the Shared Shuttle Vans, but those usually require multiple stops.

If you have3 or more folks, I would go with a taxi. With 2 folks, it depends how short of cash you are, I still prefer a taxi. As a single person, I would opt for the Airport Bus if you time it right, otherwise a shared van.

The few times that we flew into John Wayne and didn't rent a car we used the Airport Bus. Very convenient and priced right.

Re: transportation: Disneyland to John Wayne Airport

We ended up taking the Disneyland Express bus. I found a coupon on their website and we used some of the money we saved from not using a taxi to tip the bus drivers a little extra. I loved taking the bus. The guy dropped us off right in front of the Disneyland Hotel and I saw a side of Disney property I had never experienced before.

I just wish they had signs for "drop off" and "pick up" for passengers. We asked two different drivers on the way home if we were supposed to get in their bus. lol

One poor man waited in the cold with us for a while with all his luggage before he finally found out he was waiting at the wrong pick up area for his airline. Oops!

My first time ever flying, I used a taxi, with tip it cost me around 30 dollars each way, My second time I planned ahead and used supershuttle, it cost 10 dollars one way per person, plus tip it was really painless.

We use the Disneyland Express and they have coupons on the website. When you leave the luggage area at john Wayne it's right there. We've used the Super shuttle but even though we had reservations we had to wait for a couple to go by since there was 4 of us and we couldn't fit.
