  • Cheapest Hotel?? Help!!!

My boyfriend and I are trying to figure out the best hotel to go to for the Micechat 5th Anniversary. We have a very low budget, like 35-40 dollars a night. Neither of us have a credit card. He's 18. I'm 16. Is there a deposit you can make in cash?

    Thanks<3

You could try using Priceline. But almost all hotels require a credit card at check in for "incidentals"

If you do Priceline and select 1 and 2 star hotels with $25 or $30 as your price, you might very well find a hotel. But it probably won't be super close to the park. But it can be done.

Motel 6 deals with a lot of cash transactions, be prepared to put a large cash deposit (anywhere up to 100$ down, that would be refunded on checkout)

also use a site like Orbitz or Travelocity and look up the hotels in the anaheim area, then sort them by price, low to high, those low end ones might be more likely to take cash as well

Ok, 2 things forget priceline!! *you must be 21 to book. Second, spend $5.00 and go get a prepaid credit card then call the motels directly. Yes, you do tend to get an even lower rate online but you need a credit card/debit card to book. When you call directly they only take the card info to hold the room but when you get there you can pay in cash. Good Luck!

Also, the travel lodge in Buena Park is $32 per night!!!

I know someone mentioned it earlier but just wanted to reiterate... be careful and read the fine print. A lot of hotels require you be at least 21 to check in.

That's the problem my daughter (19) and her friends ran in to when they were thinking about going without parents.

My husband and I stayed at the Good Nite Inn in Buena Park a couple of months ago for $32 p/night (that included taxes, and it was over a weekend). Good luck in your search. I agree with the previous posts about searching for hotels. Hope you have fun!

With your budget I advise you to be very careful about selecting a motel. At that price you should expect your hotel not to be that close to the park. And do realize that not all hotels in Orange Couty cater to tourists but to other clentelle as well -- let's just leave it at that.

The nearest Motel 6 is on Disney Way, walking distance to the parks, but is more expensive than other nearby Motel 6's. There is a "cheap" Motel 6 just down I-5 at Chapman, on the east side of the freeway.

                      Re: Cheapest Hotel?? Help!!!

I usually use Kayak.com to look for motel rooms. I can usually get a room at the Quality Inn on Manchester for around $45 a night. But has others have said.. almost every motel I've been in require a credit card of some kind for security or incidentals... that way if there are added fees or if something gets broke they will charge the card.

And another thing is your age. From a legal stand point, I don't know many motels that would let minors have a room without someone at least 21 years old or more with them.

This could be a problem. Could a 19 year old and a 20 year old stay at a hotel with a credit card but without being over 21?

Do you not have a debit card? As long as your debit card has a visa/mastercard logo you can use that to reserve a hotel room. Of course because of your ages you may need to see if there are age restrictions but I never had problems traveling on my own once I was 18 things may have changed though.

I never had a problem traveling at that age with a credit card. My husband and I used to travel when we were that young with no problems with the exception of rental cars. Sometimes even booking through Disney Travel. I wouldn't worry!

I can help you, just go to a check cashing place that offers pay up front credit cards I believe they are called ace pay as you go credit cards it cost you a few bucks and you load it up with the cash, it works just like a visa so blame you call a hotel and get the cost of it, you go down to the place and put that much money on and give em that cc number and it always works trust me I know I use one, because I dont trust myself with a credit card anymore. you will be set, and I like the lemon tree motel in anaheim its not a bad place and the rates aren't bad.
