  • Desert Inn Question

How big is the fridge in the Parlor Suite, and how cold does it get?

    Thanks!

    Re: Desert Inn Question

We've stayed in Parlor Suites during both of our stays at the Desert Inn & Suites. The fridge is a good size - maybe 3 feet high - it has 3 or 4 shelves in it. You have control of the temp. I have never had a problem keeping things cold, but I haven't had a need to be sure that our items were cold (like medicine).

HTH. Desert Inn is our favorite hotel.

I'm glad to hear it's your favorite hotel. We have reservations there.

It's a standard mini-fridge. It has a little tiny shelf on top to act as a freezer and the regular fridge part. It kept our stuff very cold and froze our water!! Great hotel and can't beat the location.

Ooh, I'm so happy to read this thread!

My family and I have reservations in December, for our first ever Disneyland-at-Christmastime trip, and we picked the Desert Inn for its indoor pool. (We're used to going in Summer and were afraid we'd miss the swimming option.)

I chose the hotel for our last trip and it was awful, so I'm relieved to hear good things about this one! : )

              Re: Desert Inn Question

Fridge is decent size, weve been coming down 2-4 times a year for the last 5 years and several times have stayed at the Desert Inn, though we like to try different places.

Location obviously is its selling point, outside of that...sometimes its been a less than stellar experience:
              1. Check in Time - they are very strict on the 3PM check in time, several trips arriving 2:30, nope a room will be ready at 300PM, it gets a little old. Ive traveled many times to many places and never so consistently have I ever seen an establishment stick to the check in time.

              2. Getting out, especially if you drove, sometimes can be a pain if you are on a top floor and want to use one of the luggage racks, only 1 or 2 elevators, I can remember one really bad experience trying to get out of there.

              3. If you are looking for a solid free breakfast, this isnt it.

But that said, the people are very nice, the rooms are clean and in working order, price is right and location is about as good as it gets.
