  • [Review] My review of the Disneyland Hotel

Yesterday my parents and I checked in at the Disneyland hotel, and my parents liked the room while I admired both the room and new themes. The newly renovated pool at the hotel is a nice tribute to Disneyland in the late 50s-60s. And the restaurant I went with my parents to was called, "Trader Sans" which serves great food and such. Overrall the staff are great here, and I'm glad the hotel is close to Downtown Disney. Finally I would give this hotel 5/5 stars.

Is the "Trader Sans" a bad thing? Did they dislike it?

Glad you're enjoying it. In a way, it's only a former shell of it's original shelf, but in another, it's nice to see it renovated and with everything matching for a change.

I see this as a really good start. I'd like to see just "more". More activities here, and not just at Downtown Disney, More shops here, too. Maybe something that could sell vintage Disney memorabilia and stuff. I'd also like to see more of "old" Disneyland represented, such as pictures, music, what have you. Also, it would be nice to have a family restaurant that is a step or two above Tangeroa Terrace. Something akin to Storyteller's, give or take.

I have always enjoyed the Disneyland Hotel the few times I have stayed there (once prior to the renovations and once after them). I enjoy the vibe that the hotel gives off, it's an original in itself, even though it may not be "original" anymore.

The new Tahitian Terrace restaurant and Trader Sam's bar are a great compliment to the area as well. Although I will miss the waterfalls and the Jungle Cruise boats!

If you are at the Resort and have some time to kill, I would check out the new things they have added!
