  • Character Dining with a 3 year old boy

I finally have a nephew old enough to go to Disneyland! I know 3 is still young but I can't wait any longer. Well my family (mom, dad, older brother, nephew and I) will be arriving June 6th-10th. I have never been to a character dining experience so my question is which one would best fit a 3 year old boy? Any help would be great!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! If this is in the wrong place I am so sorry!!

Re: Character Dining with a 3 year old boy

I have taken my boys, currently 3 and 6, to both Goofy's Kitchen and the one at the Pier (when we went it was still Lilo and Stitch). The kids definitely enjoy Goofy's more. It is very colorful and active, whereas the Pier has a surf motif with a lot of wood. Also, I think the food there gears more toward a younger age. There seems to be more characters there too. In one visit, I remember seeing Goofy, Chip, Pluto, Cinderella, Gepetto, and a couple more. One other thing I noted is that Goofy's seating seems to be far more conducive if individual attention by characters. They have a lot of booths that are tucked into corners where the character come up with little outside distraction and they can easily transition from table to table. The Pier has tables scattered through an open restaurant floor plan.

Hope this helps. I am sure there are others on here that have more experience than I do that will weigh in on this.
