  • My recent HOJO stay.

Well after much thought to my first vacation with my 3 year old son we decided on Hojo. My experience was this great rooms & clean, parking was good, garden pool nice, Pirate pool area was the biggest hit! Lifegaurd on duty at all times was great and staff was friendly. Walking distance to Disneyland was easy and helpful. Sure easier than dealing with the Mickey and Friends structure. Breakfast at Mimi's Cafe was within walking distance but service was slow..
My only gripes are it would of been nice to have a continental breakfast for the cost of the stay even with the Passholder discount I felt at $183 or so out the door per night was a tich high. Late check out was also denied by staff when asked. Building #2 was nice however I noticed the following in the bathrooms located in that lobby of that building Roaches and they were the size that made a grown man jump (Me). However none were ever seen in my room. Otherwise I would have a different review. I still feel this should be taken care of by HOJO. Hope this helps others make a decision on staying here.

Glad you had a pretty good stay! It's always nice to hear the trips that went well, since we so often hear only about the disasters.

I've gotten lucky there too. Glad you enjoyed!

Yikes, seeing cockroaches would have made me scream! Thankfully, we never saw any in Building 1 where we stayed.

As for the continental breakfast, I haven't missed it. If they offered a hot breakfast, I'd be in heaven but pastries/cold cereal/yogurt just don't do it for our family (we've got hearty appetites--my 3 and 6 year olds can out-eat my husband!). So I always stock up on real food to re-heat in the microwave for breakfast.

We're heading back in April and can't wait.

No free breakfast is a deal breaker. We decide to try the Carsoul INN this fall, and got a great deal and a continetal breakfast all in one! Thanks to using are miceage code (No Kiss up inteanded)!

We have been to Hojo's twice and it has been great each time. If you can plan ahead, the Kid's Suites are great. They are two hotel rooms combined for the price of one, with nice decorations. For food, consider having Vons deliver to the hotel, the hotel will hold the food until you arrive. We will be staying again in October.
