    Re: Doubletree in Orange??

About a year and a half ago we 'won' this hotel through Priceline. I think we won it for $45.00. Our room was pretty nice. It was very clean. The cookies at check in were tasty. They had their own shuttle bus (not ART). During check in someone was singing at the piano bar near the lobby and sounded pretty bad. We were joking around with the front desk about it and they ended up giving us 2 free breakfast buffet coupons. They did have a fee for parking but I do not remember how much it was.

The nice thing about the Doubletree is that you're right next door to the Block, which has great shopping and food. They have a food court in there that will be a lot cheaper than eating all your meals at DLR. And Starbucks. You cannot forget Starbucks.

      :yea:

        We LOVE this hotel.

As others have said, it's far enough away from the 'resort' but not too far away. It definately helps to have a car though.

The beds are comfy, the rooms are nice and the cookies ... yummy!!! Plus, like hebessica said, the Block is right outside your door. Easy to go to catch a movie during the day if your taking a break which we have done.

The one drawback is the pool is pretty much ALWAYS in the shade, and not heated. Not sure who came up with that one.
