We have never been to Universal Studios before and will be going next month. If we go on a Saturday can a family of 4 be done in a day? Are there crazy waits?

Also any good not too expensive hotels around there?

we had been but never with our kids and went very recently with them and had a lot of fun. We got there late and still were easily able to do everything, some multiple times. Do not miss the tram and harry potter ride. Universal has a lot of screen vr type rides, some great some not so great. No one in our party had an issue with motion sickness except on the simpsons ride so maybe leave that for last. do as many of the shows as you can at the end of the day or when people get tired. transformers is almost as good as harry potter and the mummy ride is super fun but only if you like roller coasters. Jurassic park is cool but short and it seemed pretty random whether you got wet or not. be aware that the food is actually more expensive than disney, believe it or not. We stayed closer to Lax and drove up in the morning with no issue so if you have a car don't worry about being close. They have great child swap areas on many of the rides that usually mean much shorter lines so use them if possible. No need to buy the front of the line pass. Check ARES travel, they had the cheapest tickets last time i checked.

Thank you for the response. We're going on a Friday so I assume no huge crowd issues plus it will be after all the spring breakers are done. No need for a child swap as the kids are bigger
