  • Bubba Gump

Hey, I just noticed that the new Bubba Gump has opened up at the GardenWalk. Now, Forrest Gump is easily one of my top 5 favourite movies ever and just wondering how's this new place. I know it'll be one of the first places I eat at next time I go to the DLR, but I just want to know how good is. Also, something not food related, but I noticed on their website they have merchandise for sale (like the same hat Forrest wears during his run across America), is that avalible in the restaurant? or is it only online. Plus, if anyone has any photos of it, I would love to see what this place is like.

We have eaten at the one in San Francisco, and we LOVED it. Very good.

    Coconut Shrimp = YUMMY!!!

Looking forward to trying this soon.

The restaurants usually have a store attached. The food was adequate, and the servings were big, so you leave happy. My favorite part about this restaurant is that any waiter can help you, and you don't have to wait for your particular person to come back around again. They have a sign on the table that says "Stop" (or something, but clever-like) and the other side says "Run Forrest, Run". The waiters can tell instantly if you need some attention and will stop by to check on you.

I don't have any photos, but I'm sure someone else will!

Didn't realize it was open already! Do they serve anything other than shrimp? DH won't eat any seafood but I'd like to try the place.

I see about 3-4 non-seafood items: Ribs (he hates chewing on bones), a hamburger, and a pork sandwich, plus some salads. Not much for non-seafood eaters, unfortunately. He might do the fish and chips as long as the fish is completely clean of all skin and grey matter (fish fat).

i think theres more to the menu locally, because I don't like any of those nonseafood items and i do recall a pleasurable dining experience

I suggest making the trip over to Bubba Gump. Its fun and good food. Its Forest Gump inspired. So lots of references to the movie and memorabilia.

We've been to a few different locations of the chain, and the menus been the same each time that I recall.

I've eaten at the ones in San Francisco, Honolulu, and the Big Island. Food as always been terrific, service is good and we always have a fun time.
I'd reccommend it at least once.
We have a non-seafood person in our party and she has never complained about her food either.
