Its supposed to be one of the best Mexican restaurants around. I've never eaten there, but I have friends that would swap their children for El Cholo tamales. Actually, now that I think about it, I have eaten there once and it was VERY good.

Theres also a great italian place down Whittier Blvd on the right hand side before you get to Santa Gertrudes. Its called Lascari's, they have spectacular pasta and sandwiches.

El Cholo is a great restraunt. They give you chips to start out with, and then you can order your food. The one plate I recommend is the Chimichanga plate.

There's an El Cholo by my house in Irvine, and we like it a lot. Food is always great, service is not as reliable. Try the blue corn tamales and have a margarita. MMMmmmmm!

I am not a fan of the food, but it is a great place to have a drink.

El Cholo and Lascari's are both great.

Pretty great restaurant. Their green corn tamales are to die for!
