  • How do I get from Union Station to Anaheim?

I am taking a megabus down on Sunday to LA and will be arriving at Union Station in the early evening.

I need to know how I can get from there to Anaheim (where I am staying) using public transportation.

Any input would be much appreciated.

If you're not taking a taxi or renting a car, this might give you another option. Have a great time!

    Anaheim

    2150 E. Katella
    Anaheim, CA 92807
    Location: Amtrak Station
    Phone: 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245)
    Route: Pacific Surfliner

Anaheim Amtrak station is located at the north end of the Angel Stadium of Anaheim parking lot (2150 E. Katella 92806). The station is used by both Amtrak's Pacific Surfliners and Metrolink commute trains. There is generally plenty of parking, although it is reduced somewhat when th Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball games are scheduled. It's only a short walk across the lot to the Stadium.

If you want/need a car while in Anaheim, Hertz offers special rates and car rental services.

Disneyland is just a few miles from the Anaheim station.

    Anaheim Resort Transit

Getting to Disneyland on Southern California's expanding rail network is easier than ever with the start of regular shuttle service between the Anaheim Amtrak station, the Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Resort hotels.

The shuttles, which will cost $3 for adults and be free for children 10 and under until Jan. 8, 2008 ($1 after that), will meet all northbound and southbound Pacific Surfliner trains. The trains run ten times daily between Los Angeles and San Diego, with some trains continuing to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo via Oxnard and Ventura.

The ART schedule will be posted at www.rideart.org, according to the organizers.

Thanks for the info, though I am a little confused. I will be arriving by bus at Union Station downtown LA. Does this shuttle go from Union Station to Anaheim, and can I ride it if I am not arriving via Amtrack?

      Thanks.

I would take the Pacific Surfliner from Union Station to the Anaheim station and pick-up the shuttle there to the DLR and/or surrounding resort area.
