  • Is the car fountain in Autopia something of Yesterland?

    Hi,

I have been looking at some of the websites that picture the car fountain in the Autopia ride and they are saying it's a bronzed tribute. Is the car fountain anything of the past?

I know the bronzed car nearby it is the Bronzed Midget Autopia car you have talked about on your Yesterland Website.

But the Car Fountain doesn't look like something of a past ride.

Thank you for you time in reading this thread.

You are correct. That is a bronzed "Midget Autopia" car. In the early years of Disneyland, there were several versions of the Autopia. One of them, for little kids, was called the Midget Autopia.

Here's the link on Yesterland: Midget Autopia at Yesterland

Thank you, Dusty. I wonder about the fountain/ the two cars together. Are they or is it something of Yesterland too? Or is that just a statue for Autopia?

yesterland mentioned a 3rd Autopia was made,so maybe this is contributing to that!
Disneyland's closed for all of 2011. See you in 2012. Snow White is now a water ride, Matterhorn has a fullsize basketball court where the Clippers have relocated to, and King Arthur's Carousel is suspended 250ft. in the air.
Enjoy it while it lasts! LOL!

What happened to the old Disney movie opening? The new ones just too long and not classic.

Based on the pictures I say the fountain is two of the new cars as they are not the old style of Disneyland cars that I have seen. It looks like the Suzy model maybe. The new track is full of jokes so it could be possible that it is just something they added for whimsy.

The fountain is designed to be two Suzy cars that have crashed and water is shooting out of their radiators. It's nothing from Yesterland.
