  • January 29, 2010: Disneyland from the Air in 1962

The year was 1962. Although the day was a bit hazy, an aerial photographer captured three views of Disneyland from the sky. The photos in this Yesterland article aren't ordinary photos. You can use your mouse to zoom in and move around.

    Please discuss it here.

That is really cool. The Haunted Mansion almost looks like the "Courthouse Clock Tower" under construction in Back to the Future III. Great post!

Wonderful find Werner! I'll be spending hours looking at these and comparing then, now, and my memories of earlier visits!

My first visit ever was in the summer of 1963, so these pics look pretty close to what I remember. When was the Monsanto House of the Future built?

Cool! It's amazing how much space that Nature's Wonderland Railroad took up. Looks like it really felt like a Frontier then.

Awesome stuff! I love seeing Disney pics from back then to see how much things have changed.

The Monsanto House of the Future opened in 1957 and was demolished in 1967.

I think it's also fun to see how much is similar or still the same.
