Experience the romance of chemistry, courtesy of Monsanto Chemical Company, in this early Tomorrowland exhibit.

I'm just curious if anyone has any photos of the exhibits themselves?

Daveland has photos of the Hall of Chemistry, including two that give an idea of what the interior was like:

The cameras, film, and flash bulbs of the era when the Hall of Chemistry was open made most amateur photography of large interior spaces almost impossible.

I still remember that the instruction book that came with my first camera (around 1964) explained that flashcubes would provide proper illumination only if the subject was between 4 and 10 feet away.

Thanks Werner for another fun reminder of Yesterland's Tomorrowland. The nostalgia is fun by itself, but in this particular case, it's also interesting to see how the view of corporate America has shifted. As pointed out at the very end of your article, Monsanto has recently engaged in very aggressive tactics to ensure a monopoly in many farm products. This includes suing small farmers that try to collect their own seed for next year's planting... a practice that goes back centuries. I think these strong-arm tactics, combined with the political power of corporate lobbyists, combined with safety shortcuts on oil drilling platforms... all raise a great deal of suspicion of corporate interests these days. I think we certainly viewed them as stellar corporate citizens in Yesterland, but today - maybe not so much. Anyway, thanks again, Werner!

Another great article and interesting comment on the "inside" photography. I've heard little of this hall of chemistry and my first thought was what did it look like inside. If anyone ever does create a virtual Disneyland (Yesterland) to explore, I hope small details like this are covered.
