Disney Historian Jim Korkis has just released a terrific new book. This Yesterland article has a brief book review and a longer interview with the author — including some fun Disney theme park information.

So far, Werner, the book is finding difficult to find. Barnes and Noble hasn't even ordered it. At least in Denver!

I think it will be difficult to find the The Vault of Walt in retail stores.

The shop at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco will carry it. Beyond that, I'm not aware on any places to buy it at a store.

Amazon is taking orders. They don't have an "in stock" date listed, but I've heard October 3. I have a hunch it will be sooner, but that's just a guess based on the fact that books have already come off the press. I don't see why it should take so long for them to get to Amazon's distribution center.

CreateSpace is the company responsible for printing the book. I understand they're already shipping. Also, I think the author earns more if you buy directly from CreateSpace than from Amazon.

There are links to both at the end of the article.

The price is the the same (19.95) both places. With an Amazon, you can get free shipping if you're an Amazon Prime customer or you order something else to bring your order to $25 or more.

Ok, I just ordered mine. I was going to hold off, but the review was so good I decided to go for it. By the way, my Amazon delivery estimated date is Oct 12, so yes, they are in stock. Thanks Werner!

Thank you VERY much for this review Werner. I read it about 2 weeks ago and immediately ordered the book. Just finished it. Wow.... It was very behind-the-scenes but in a complimentary way, definitely not the sordid VH1 "Behind the Music" sort of way people might expect. Still, reading about Walt's spinal injury explained a lot about his later years.

This book is a rare gem. Thank you for bringing it to everyone's attention.
