Are there any specific musical loops that use to play at Disneyland that you loved now don't play in the parks anymore? What extinct Disney attractions had songs that you enjoyed listening too? And what magical Disney street bands, quartets, etc., that now exist in Yesterland, did you enjoy listening to?

And also the 6 CD set "A Musical History of Disneyland".
I don't like the Rainbow Caverns stuff though when it comes to Mine Train Through Natures Wonderland. I do enjoy listening to, over and over, the CircleVision "America The Beautiful" track.
I also love playing all the Country Bear Tracks.
I think the woman who sang "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" for Teddi Berra has a wonderful voice!

Re: Music of Yesterland
The Disney music always had away of bringing back memories of Disneyland for me. That is what got me started in collecting the Disney vinyl.
Now it is the 50th anniversary of Disneyland Records (WDR) and we are going to celebrate it here in Seattle next month with the opening of a year long exhibit at the Experience Music Project (EMP).
To kick it off, the EMP and the MountainEars chapter of the National Fantasy Fan Club (NFFC) are hosting a 3 day Disney Music Convention Nov 3-5.

I love listening to the Peoplemover background loop that I recorded in 1991. It brings back so many memories:gladsad:sigpic"To your left we have a welcome neighbor..... Our GE nuclear powerplant"

Re: Music of Yesterland
I did not realize how much the sounds of Disneyland can bring back memories but after tuning into www.uabmagic.com I became an instant addict. I vaguely remember Adventures through Inner Space but listening to the entire attraction is just a hoot. The subs were one of my all time favorites as a kid but I could not remember the entire script so hearing it again was incredible. I love hearing tracks from The Carousel of Progress, background music for the Peoplemovers, and Tahitian Terrace dinner music since I don't remember (or did not ever get to experience) these attractions. Disneyland is so attentive to detail and their music is no exception.

PS - you have inspired me and I just requested the walk-through medley from the Utilidor's site. Now if I only had the dioramas to go with it I could have my own little show in my cube!)

Re: Music of Yesterland
I like the sounds from The Frito Kid vending machine at Casa de Fritos; the Kid calling to Klondike for another bag of Fritos, set to that bouncy little samba.
The REAL Peoplemover music (not the Goodyear theme or the monorail song) is a great set too. Only wish I could find a clean set of all of them (I think there are ten or eleven songs)."Say, uh, ever hear of the devil's paint pots? Real mystery of the desert. Bubblin' pots of mud in all kinds of colors."

Re: Music of Yesterland
This is a newer entry, but I already miss the Dick Dale soundtrack from Space Mountain.
Hehe... the people mover music plays whenever i turn on my computer so I can't say I miss it all that much, but i do miss it in the park.
And this is a weird one, but I totally miss the MAGIC KINGDOM CORP. Don't know if you ever caught this small group of drum & bugle musicians. They'd march around and play disney songs (and others) with all the brass glory you can want. sigh, they got cut when the Pressler regime started and they decided that live music wasn't worth spending on. Other musicians have returned now, but I still haven't seen or heard the magic kingdom corp presence in years.

He also had a special spiel for wet weather..."Into each life a little rain must fall. Welll - it looks like today is our day."
I, of course, loved the Tahitian Terrace and its dinner show, but part of the time I worked there, I really didn't like the last "Aloha" because it meant break time was over.
BTW...musical note...we always saved our used big salad oil tins for the drummers...they would hollow them out and use em!!!
Thanks for letting me share a little memory.

I also love hearing the recordings of the ticket booth annoucements even though I don't recall the time when there were ticket books and not general admission. It reminds me of that excited feeling that you experience as you first enter the park. Another one of my favorites is the background music from Main Street. When I hear it I can almost smell the tasty treats and see all the bustling traffic through all the shops.
I cannot believe they used your empty salad oil tins for drums! Great story Radiobarry, thank you once again for taking us back to Yesterdayland through your eyes.
