  • [Rumor] Equity To Repay China For Loan & Expedite HKD Expansion Plans

http://www.screamscape.com/html/hong_kong_disneyland.htmEquity instead of or in conjunction with cash is now an acceptable form of repayment for the Chinese governments loan to Hong Kong Disneyland. This would help to speed along the possible $4 Billion expansion to the park, including the technologically advanced Haunted Mansion and Pirate Mountain (cross between POTC and Splash Mtn.) E-tickets. Don't know about you, but I'm on pins and needles for this to happen!

Well once those two come on board, I would then be ready to pony up the cash to fly from the UK to Hong Kong. Without a doubt.
Let's put the Walt back in Disney!

I don't think it's the gov to decide. It's gonna be a Legco vote

I think HKDL will make it through at the very end (even with lots of obstruction). The LEGCO can't abandon HKDL realistically. Our Haunted Mansion should be coming XD

Four billion would go a long way! A state-of-the-art Haunted Mansion and Pirates/Splash hybrid would ramp up new interest in the park. The Chinese seem to be getting more business savvy all the time. Their acceptance of equity as part of their loan repayment should push the park expansion thru much faster.

Additional classic attractions? Yes, iluvHKDL! I would say there would be plenty of loaned capital to cover them too.
