Has anyone seen any photos of the Fantasia Gerdens meet 'n' greet area in Fantasyland? The concept artwork and plans for it look beautiful, but I haven't seen pictures of the real thing yet. Did it open with the rest of the park, or are they waiting for the vegetation to "grow out" first?

It opened, they planted a bunch of vegitation...but I think the big unfortunate thing here is that there are really so few photos of this park that there are no links to share.

Thanks, HongKongDisneyland. Nice article! I have to admit, despite my earlier reservations, the Hong Kong park is really growing on me. They've got the opportunity to do some really interesting things with it.

I think that the gardens are really cool but I hope that they aren't just a place holder for a future attraction.

Before I went to HKDL, the Fantasia Gardens area was one I was most looking forward to seeing. Much to my surprise, the area as a whole turned out quite pretty and lush. I only have a couple of photos of it at night but really can't appreciate it well. I do like the choice of plants and the watery stream that cuts thru the area. The Fantasia Fountain (similar to the one at WDSP) is also a nice introdution to the area. Granted, this is a photo op area. Not much to do there but wait in line for the character you want to be photographed with. But like the rest of HKDL, it is very nicely ornated and colorful.
You can check my HKDLR albums here while they are up,

              Hi Everyone,
Some photos of Fantasy Gardens. Mostly of the "Gardens" part because that's my thing. Cool fun fact...the clipped rolling hedges and most of the topiary were grown in Thailand and shipped to HK to make sure they were solid on opening day.

              Hope you enjoy!

Any more gazebos? What characters can you meet there?

The day I was there, you could meet Mickey, Minnie, Turk, Mushu and Donald but I suppose it may change from time to time.

I may have mispelled the name... It's Tarzan's chimp friend (voiced by Rosie o'Donnell in the movie?)

I forgot to also add that Pooh and Tigger were there, and sometimes Mulan shows up as well in Fantasia Gardens.

                            It's spelled Terk I think.

Wow, thanks for the photos Kronk! They're great, and really show off the area well. Overall, I'm impressed with the look of this section of Fantasyland - it really lives up to the concept artwork!
