    According to Oriental Daily News

HKDL plans to build a retail district. It might occupy 2 floors of retail space, total area not known yet, (might be around 300,000 sq feet or above). There would be other brand name stores and restaurants/food outlets.

The exclusive "Glacier Peak" attraction is not dead yet. they might reconsider the proposal and build it later.

I might withdraw my complaints of a SHDL because of the sudden 'kick' to to HKDL. It seems that this just might be the solution to HKDL's problem. Hopefully we can hear soon a formal official announcement from HKDL on this matter.

Glacier Peak sounds like an interesting and unique concept for a Disneyland park. It would be a shame not to add it to the mix, make it amazing, and give people a reason to go to HKDL because it's the only DL to see such an amazing spectacle.

Or, why not add in some attractions like Horizons, World of Motion, etc? designs are already there and many people miss those extinct attractions.

Hopefully this Shangahi announcement though gives HK the kick in the pants it needs to start thinking about its future.

Can't miss idea. Is Who Wants to be a Millionaire still popular in Hong Kong? :ap:

Unfortunately the show here has been ended for several years.
However, I think it would be nice to see some Epcot-style attractions in Hong Kong.
Since some locals has criticized HKDL as non-educative.

If Disney wants to build something at HKDL, then they should try looking at some of the Marvel properties. Spider-man, X-Men, Fantastic Four ... etc.

Or indeed the entire second gate at HKDL should be a Marveland.

If they really want to wow everyone, they should build the Port Disney concept planned for Long Beach in the 1990s.

The location is perfect as far as I can tell. It would be a unique variation on the DinseySea concept and quite stunning if built without cutting corners. It would also incorporate real animals like Ocean Park - something popular with guests.
