  • [Question] Cannons on Main Street?

Hey guys, I just returned from Hong Kong last week, I visited HKDL for a few hours, and although I had been there before, I never noticed that there's cannons on Main Street.

I can't recall any other Disneyland style park having cannons on their main st (I haven't been to Paris yet, but have been to all of the others), does anyone know the thematic reason why those are there?

Am I crazy or aren't their cannons on Main Street at Disneyland in the Town Plaza?

ORDDU: Yes, there are cannons in Town Square at Disneyland. We even have pictures of them. It was often customary for small towns to display cannons in their Town Squares. I believe Florida's Magic Kingdom has them as well. It's meant to be a nod to America's military past, I suppose.

Ok, I don't ever recall seeing them at Anaheim DL, but I had only been there for 2 days and it was really busy...HKDL when I was there was DEAD, hardly any people at all...they even cancelled the parade that day and the weather was nice.

Although they are definitely not at MK, I worked on Main St. several times. The only cannons I recall seeing are near Swiss Family treehouse and maybe in front of POTC

They cancelled the parade and don't even use The Rainy Express because both of them were decorating for the Christmas activity.
