  • [Question] How busy will Hong Kong be during 9th-18th of October 2013?

I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong to visit the main tourist sights like Disneyland. I'll be visiting during the 9th-18th of October. And I see the day after the Chung Yeung Festival is a national Holiday. How much will this effect crowd levels at Hong Kong's main tourist destinations. Also are there any other school or Chinese holidays that I need to be aware of before booking these dates?

1 Oct to 7 Oct is the 'golden week' of the National Day. Most of the tourists from mainland China prefer visiting Hong Kong in this period. There are still some mainland tourists come to visit after the golden week but not too much. On 14 Oct there should be more Hong Kong people instead of mainlanders. I don't know how the schedule of the Halloween celebration yet, but if you want to visit the haunted house and see the Halloween night parade, you should better choose a date between Thursday to Sunday.

Thanks, I have decided to book an over night stay in Macau on the 14th of Oct. Got a good rate at the Grand Hyatt, City of Dreams. I'll work around the Hong Kong Disneyland dates once I know more of its Halloween plans.
