[Question] Any good food at HKDL?

    Hi All!
Just going for the first time this Saturday! My friend works there, in Golden Mickeys, and he says there is no good food to speak of. Is there any suggestions of place to get either good or memorable food at HKDL? Budget not an issue, but don't have time to eat in hotels.

I like both Main Street Corner Cafe and Royal Banquet Hall. Andrew Kam (HKDL CEO) recommended the Adventurers' Club's Hainan Chicken Rice in a previous interview.

No good food in HKDL? I would say HKDL has more good food than DL in Anaheim. But if you are used to US portions (which is HUGE for us), then be aware of the smaller portions that are served in HK.

It depends on your tastes. If you want western, the Starliner Diner is your best option. It's got a pretty decent burger that is nice and filling and the fries are cooked in some sort of magic oil that makes them delish. Other than that you've got a whole range of oriental cuisine around the park. I had dinner at the Plaza Inn and the pork steam buns are glorious. It's literally as if God himself made those buns.

You'll find plenty to eat and if you honestly can't find anything, Hong Kong is only a 15 minutes MTR ride away.

Have fun at Disneyland on Saturday!

It's all a matter of personal preference and opinion.

This is a little misleading I would say.

Hong Kong may be 15 minute MTR ride away from Sunny Bay station. If you were inside the park and decided you wanted to go to Hong Kong to eat I would say it would be at least 45 minutes from that point until you were "in" Hong Kong. You have to walk from the park to the Disneyland Resort MTR stop, wait for the next Disneyland Resort Line train, ride that to Sunny Bay station and then transfer to the Tung Chung line to Hong Kong.

Sorry, I underestimated my trip time. Considering I'm always so excited to go to the park it feels like hardly any time at all.

However, he could go to Tung Chung. There's plenty of eating options there. You've got Subway, McDonalds, KFC (which in Hong Kong is nothing like it's western counterpart) and other restaurants. It's only about 20 minutes IF you're lucky and the trains are all there when you get to them.

It'd take an hour to do a round trip so I wouldn't consider it worth it though and you may as well eat in the park.

It's some wacky recreation of KFC. They don't have fries! That's half the reason to get KFC in Australia.

And I think it's Kowloon's Finest Cuisine or Kinda Fancy Cookin'. I can't tell!

There are also these Chinese New Year special offerings. But obviously not all westerners are used to these.
