We have a front page filled with amazing content. We offer weekly meetups in the parks. Meets and events all over the world. Podcasts and videos. And we continue to maintain forums for your posting convenience. But with all those options, we can't be everywhere all the time. We need YOUR help. Please don't poke the trolls. Report posts and leave reputation. We'll do our best to keep the forums clean and active, but we can't do so without your help.

    Partial Translation:

    Walt Disney Co.(China) together with Hong Kong Disneyland are promoting at Shanghai between 7-9 April 2006. There will be live performances by "Mickey and Friends".

        If I remember correctly (and it could be a long shot here since it's been
        a really long time since I studied the chracters), in Chinese,
        "Happy" is the most common translation for the character that symbolizes
        "Joyful" and "goodwill".

        Anyway, it's just a real "positive" character to use. And since the common
        translation to english is "happy", we see "happy" a LOT.

        Similar to how in the last 10 years, tech (and others) use the "e" for "e-mail"
        and the "i" for "internet" to symbolize "coolness" or "modernity". Ex. "iPod"
        Well, extend that trend for couple hundred years and you get the gist of the idea.

        Anyway, that's my take... HKDL, feel free to correct since you read Chinese.

          If you saw how cheap everthing is in China...(goods, taxis, food etc etc) you'd be "HAPPY" too!!!

              Okay, makes a bit more sense...but like every park they open is happy world this, happy that. Lol. So I guess they are really "Goodwill World".
