      It isn't in Hong Kong.

It is situated at Zhuhai. (closer to Macau than Hong Kong)

Hong Kong,Macau, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou are all in the PRD (Pearl River Delta) Region.

The hotel looks nice but the theme park looks...underwhelming in size. Actually it seems Disney followed the Chinese Trend. Like every "Happyland" and everything, they built HKDL small and lame. It doesn't seem that far off from everything else that gets built there. I mean a skyway to a Buddah is going to be a big Hong Kong attraction.
What was that about simple things?

          It's not just a Buddha... It's a BIG Buddha.

Anyway, this is what's called...what's the word? Oh yeah, "culture!" Turns out people who visit foreign countries often like to see some of this "culture" along with their Disney fix. Can you believe people visiting Disneyland Paris will actually take time out to see the so-called "Eiffel Tower?" What gives? Everyone knows it's just a poor-man's Transamerica building! I mean, it doesn't even have WALLS!

Anyway, the Big Buddha is ALREADY a big Hong Kong attraction. Only now
instead of a scary, hour-long bus ride it'll be accessible by a scary,
          20-minute gondola ride!
          .
