  • Disney brings a hybrid version of "High School Musical" to HKDL in Jan 2008

Magness is now working on a new entertainment package for the revitalization of Epcot Center. And she's focused on the spring opening of "Carnivale" in Hong Kong that celebrates partygoers in Brazil, New Orleans and Trinidad.

ORDDU: And what section of the park would this all fit into the best? Most likely Tomorrowland, a witch says.

I actually watched a High School Musical show at the Studios in Paris and it was a lot of fun. Personally I know its got its fair share of critics but I feel it enhances your Disney experience and is something that no one is ever forced into watching.

Oh no! The craze continues unstopped around the world. I'm all for new things in HKDL, but we must band together and stop the evil! IT SHALL NOT PASS!

Maybe it will replace the Golden Mickeys?

It's a thought. I honestly don't know what kind of legs those theatre shows have. Something like Aladdin in DCA was an impressive event, and I'm glad I took the time to go and see it while I was there. However, while it may have been the group behind us who simply couldn't stop breaking wind, I'm not sure I could take seeing the show more than once. However, I know there are folks who love it, and I guess it isn't really designed for adult after all...

I kind of envisage HSM as more of an "outdoors" kind of thing. Is this the same as the pep rallies they hold in the US parks? Aren't they a sort of travelling stage?
