NBA Legends Rick Barry, Darryl Dawkins and George Gervin join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for a ride on two convertibles to greet guests on Main Street U.S.A. at Hong Kong Disneyland. The group visited the Park on October 18, 2007 as part of their Asian visit in support of the NBA China Games 2007.

I was at the Venetian Macau on Sunday, it was jam packed with people, most of which went to the resort for the NBA China games and of course, to spend the long weekend.

I think HKDL should consider building an auditorium and then bring their stage shows like Lion King and Mary Poppins over. These shows will add crowds to the resort and HK needs more auditoriums anyway.

Asa, how does the Venetian in Macau compares to the original in Las Vegas?

We are off topic, but I have never been to the original so I cannot compare. But it is huge and they are building a Four Seasons Hotel next door with a Sheraton opposite.

By the way, MGM Grand will open in December this year, near Wynn Macau.

Anyway, I still maintain that HKDL should build a proper Disney Auditorium for stage shows. It will help their business just like the NBA China games help Venetian Macau gets more visitors.

It does seem that they get a lot of the convention and 'event' crowds, or at least that is where the publicity department is focused. Sounds like a great idea, Asa.
