Honestly, I don't see the problem or the difference. I guess neither does Disney.

Does this ride only have one story or are there multiple random scenes that change each time you go on it, like
Star Tours? Also, it looks like they will need to update the video once the new castle is built.

More than 70 Disney Imagineers from the city of Hong Kong contributed their talent working hand in hand with the international Walt Disney Imagineering team and the Marvel team to create this world’s first Iron Man-themed area.

There are little things they could have done to improve the experience using this old technology. They could have just added windows-displays to each row on both sides. The moving scenery at the side and the front display combined could have made it even more immersive for example.

Well, I also did the ride twice over the weekend. First, both times I used Fast Pass so I did not go through the standby queue. The queue is good and it shows all the previous Iron Wing versions.

The ride itself is very similar to Star Tours 2. But ST2 has an AA as a pilot and they would pick a rider as a suspected "spy", which is always funny. But Iron Man also has its shares of humour and excitement. The film is very clearly HKDL specific so if any other park wants to replicate the ride, then they will have to make their own films. It was the same film both times I rode. The details are good. The woman who talked us through the boarding process could be seen in the end of the film giving a sigh of relief as we returned safely to Stark Expo.

My wife said first, the ride is too short, second, she feels both Transformers: The Ride at Universal Studios and Batman: Dark Flight at Studios City Macau are better than this ride.

I think Iron Man Experience has a better film than both Batman: Dark Flight and Transformers. But both Batman and Transformers have better ride vehicles and effects. Iron Man Experience does not even have water sprays, even though the vehicle hit the water once or twice.

It is very disappointing that Disney, supposedly the industry leader, is so far behind in terms of ride vehicle technology. I hope they can find ways to improve the ride in the future, if possible.

The ride is worth a try but not worth a special trip. If you have done ST2 then you have done the better version of the ride.

Marvel legend Stan Lee visited HKDL and rode Iron Man Experience!!!

But actually if an old man like him can ride it, then it does tell you something about the ride, doesn't it?
