  • Disneyland toy parcel triggers bomb alert

    http://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaki...s.php?id=84740

A bomb scare at Hong Kong Disneyland ended after bomb disposal officers found that a suspicious parcel that triggered the alarm was a toy, a Disneyland spokeswoman said.
Officers were called to the theme park on Lantau shortly before 1pm.

A police source had earlier said it was addressed to the park's managing director Samuel Lau.

Staff members in the mail room at the back office area were alerted after the parcel, measuring 30 centimeters by 45 centimeters, was x-rayed and found to contain wires and battery. The park's operation was not affected while dozens of staff were evacuated from the affected building.
