  • Yo Guys,

From the video and if the blue prints are final, our castle would be 51M tall I assume?

See Top Left corner in the pic " 51000" ???

    51M = 167.3 FT
which would put us right between Paris and Tokyo's castle in terms of height.

If the HKDL Castle 2019 concept art was drawn using the correct proportions, then I think they are aiming for a height above 160 ft, probably something
    between 163 - 168 ft if I must say.

    • Cool vid. Some things I noticed:

-Glad to see the entry arches in the most recent Key Art are part of the forecourt show and not grafted on to the main gate.
-The art told us as much, but the existing castle - at least exterior-wise - is essentially untouched.
-They are adding trees/vines throughout - not an artistic flourish.
-The dark blue tower at the lower right might indicate that it is going in the hub (like the new MK towers) for projections and such.

I hope they match roof/siding materials on the new and old to help make it all look like a single castle rather than one behind another.

I'm excited. Is it still 2019 or get pushed to 2020? Like the other castles, there should be a bunch of off-site pre-fab and then attachment in finished-looking parts. This project will be fascinating to watch unfold.

      • Guys,

It seems like Paris is not getting a full-fledged Star Wars Galaxy's Edge land like those in US parks.

        http://www.jedinews.co.uk/convention...studios-paris/

I can see WDC going for the same watered-down version for its Asia parks in the future.
Better in my opinion, because SW will not enjoy the same enthusiasm in Asia compared to US.

Btw this rocky construction and its watered-down size would easily fit between our Theater of the Wild and Grizzly Gulch.
Maybe something to look forward to?

          • Guys,

A VOLCANO in adventureland? What do you think?

            https://discuss.micechat.com/forum/d...ong-disneyland

Above link, what I was guessing earlier regarding a possible Jungle Cruise re-imagined attraction.
Although there is no firm evidence to support it, the same rumors are going around on the internet. (Feel free to google around)

However there are some new and old rumors that are also related Adventureland, a FIRE mountain/ volcano?

Ok, I didn't have time to finish what lead me to think that this could be a part of the 2021 re-imagined project.
I don't have hard evidence, but let's say one thing "might" lead to another and with lots of imagination added of course.

              Possible 2021 re-imagined project :

1/. As shared earlier, if you dig deeper in the internet you can find the concept art of the Jungle Cruise makeover originally envisioned in 2012 here :
              http://www.sasakitime.com/2012/03/br...sneylands.html
You can see that the animals are replaced with prehistoric dinosaurs hinting that the story is probably about finding a place where these animals still live.

2/. The Jungle Cruise movie turns out to be much more then just a simple movie based around the aged Disney ride. Disney sees this as a billion dollar franchise similar to Pirates of the Caribbean.
In fact people working on it and having read the script notice a lot of similarities with POC and Indiana Jones. The story is set in the 1920s.
Besides the Rock also Emily Blunt is joining the cast. Production starts this May.

              https://screenrant.com/disney-jungle...tes-caribbean/
              https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/12...jungle-cruise/
              http://variety.com/2018/film/news/em...se-1202645108/

3/. Around the same time last year, when the movie was confirmed, another rumor about a fire mountain/volcano idea has re-surfaced with people speculating that it could feature a Moana rollercoaster. Yes, RE-surfaced. The "fire" mountain was a concept made in the 1990's.

Click image for larger version Name:	volcano-mountain-magic-kingdom-old-concept-1990s.jpg Views:	1 Size:	121.3 KB ID:	8550789

4/. ...and then there was our Moana stage show location in HKDL.
Has anyone thought about why Disney would put the stage show on that spot in particular?

Will they remove the Tarzan Tree House for something more spectacular? Something that could be used as a backdrop for, not 1, but 2 stories?
A volcano/fire mountain of some sort could set the backdrop for Moana AND a prehistoric story that could be the new Jungle Cruise story.

Personally I would really like to have a Volcano there. It will certainly draw more guests to Adventure land especially when you can see the fire/fumes at night.
It will give the guests the needed wow effect if they enter adventure land and see the mountain for the first time, it will also make the area much more mysterious and adventurous and on top of that I am big fan of Disney Sea. The mountain could also be a projection show backdrop for Adventure land.

Adventure land in HKDL at night is quite dark and does look a bit deserted, people tend to move to better lit area's in the park at night.
I also think that the River Rafts need to retire because the Tree House is not an attraction people would want to revisit multiple times.

(Of course not the size of Disney Sea's volcano, but something like Camp Discovery's mountain's size in Shanghai Disney. The long stroke of island in the middle of the Jungle Cruise has enough depth to build it for sure)

I did some further guessing myself again.
Remember the concept art of the Star Wars land for the US parks, specifically the parked Millennium Falcon in the Mountain Cave.
Well that turned out to be some sort of Flight Simulator Video Game where quests can pilot the Falcon itself.

Now if you look at the concept art for our Marvel Area, we have a parked Avengers Quinjet plane on a hangar type of construction as well as one in the sky returning to the hangar.
Both the hangar and the Quinjets could point towards a similar type of Flight Simulator where we can pilot a bad xxs Quinjet ourselves?

I know we have an Iron Man plane motion ride just next to it, but other US parks got Star Tours as well and they still get the Millennium Falcon, so...

Anyway just guessing... Click image for larger version Name:	HK-Disneyland-Marvel-Featured-.jpg Views:	1 Size:	187.9 KB ID:	8512310

                    Guys,

What do we see in this new pic below from Mr B's :
                    https://www.facebook.com/mrbpage/pho...type=3&theater

In every pic we see the Quinjet (Paris, US and Hong Kong). It's so obvious that this is not just space filler for these arts. The Quinjets are more detailed and pronounced on this pic than the art of the Iron Wing (ride vehicle of the Iron Man experience). Combined with the concept art of our HKDL Marvel Area with the Quinjet (wings folded) on the deck AND the Quinjet on the concept art of Paris Marvel Area , I think we can be sure that the Quinjet will play a significant role in the upcoming 2023 Marvel ride.

Took a pic over the fence, nothing there yet, just some cars parked there and some trees, but maybe another location for Food Trucks in the future?
The width of the fence does seem to match with the existing Food Truck location.

                        • I like how they removed the Buzz Statue and moved the new Curved Entrance of the Ant Man ride closer to the ride building itself.

The alley became wider and I am sure Iron Man Experience can be spotted easier from a distance after the works.
