Pixar Water Play Street Party is here. But the party will be presented as a “magical moment”, with no fixed show schedule, and may not be presented daily.

As it will parade through the castle and hub area, it is safe to say that it will not happen when "Follow Your Dreams" is going on. Photo and Video by HKDL Fantasy.

HK gov plan to loosen quarantine measures from 21 days to 7 days, if you got a PCR negative test + serilogy test (antibody test from hk airport). The airport serology test start Aug 18th

                • What if you are fully vaccinated, are you exempt from presenting PCR negative tests? Or do you still have to undergo the testing?

I suppose if the COVID-19 pandemic does not ease up next year and international tourists do not return, there is little point in it opening.

And if you are coming from America, HK put up the 3 week quarantine period(vaccinated or unvaccinated) at the last minute and they cancelled the antibody test. As Asa said if the pandemic doesn't subside there is no way to remove restrictions.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is being covered up. Maybe work will begin on Avengers ride soon?

Actually I thought this would be a good place and time to do a ShangChi Kung Fu show.

                          • There are many people, including Luke of Reviewtyme in the above video, who suspects that the Avengers ride in HKDL will not get built. It leads me to think the big question for HKDL right now is its survival.

I have a strong feeling that the current HK govt and its now entirely pro-Beijing legislators have no feelings for a money losing resort created and managed by Americans. They certainly will not provide additional funding like they did before, should the park hit any more financial bumps.

I think HKDL knows that and by canceling the Avengers ride and using the expansion money instead on operating costs, they have bought themselves a few more years. HKDL cannot be expected to make money unless the borders with China and other Asian countries re-open. There is nothing WDC can do. They need to wait patiently for that to happen and hope for the best.

                            • That's pretty pessimistic view on HKDL. Sure the protest has put a dent into HKDL business but Covid-19 pandemic did much more damage. It affected every single Disney franchise in the planet. Already the HK govt has started to allow mainland tourist back into HK as of Sept 15th. Though its a 2k daily quota. Its not much but its gonna be a start to recovery. As for those pro-beijing legislators (there were also some pro-democratic legislators) that did not like Disney expansion, I am quite sure when HKDL starts getting profitable, it will start changing their minds. There are also pro-beijing(pro business) legislators that would push for more expansion because its good for business and make HK as a tourist destination.

                              • In Carrie Lam's final policy address of her tenure as HK's Chief Executive, she made no mention of HKDL. Whereas in the past the HK govt always mentioned it in its plans for tourism developments.

For what it is worth, HK Ocean Park received no mention either.

I agree with you Carrie Lam did not mention of HKDL news but Covid-19 pretty much left a dent of any international travel and tourism. She will probably focus bringing mainlanders tourism back to HK will be her first priority before opening HK to the rest of the world.

Disneyland jacks up prices to 'better manage demand'

                                    Top News | 19 Oct 2021

                                    Sophie Hui

Disneyland one-day tickets will go up under a new two-tier pricing system that will charge more on peak days.

A one-day ticket calendar showing regular days and peak days, which are weekends and public holidays, will be available on Hong Kong Disneyland's official website - www.hongkongdisneyland.com.

The adult price for peak days will be HK$699, up 9 percent from the regular day price of HK$639. Children's tickets on peak days will cost HK$524, 10 percent more than the regular HK$475.

Adult visitors with disabilities will pay HK$489 on peak days, 9 percent up, while children with disabilities pay HK$366, 10 percent up. They will continue to enjoy a 30 percent discount on all one-day tickets.

One-day tickets prices for seniors aged 65 or above will remain the same at HK$100, on both regular and peak days.

The new system will take effect today (19 October 2021), but the first peak day will fall on November 20.

From today to October 19 next year, residents aged between 60 and 64 who are JoyYou card holders for the HK$2 concessionary fare scheme can enjoy the same HK$100 as senior citizens.

Disneyland also raised prices for two-day tickets. Adults will have to pay 5 percent more from HK$825 to HK$865, while child tickets increased 7 percent to HK$649.

"This new pricing structure helps spread visitation throughout the year, better manage demand and enable the delivery of a premium guest experience," a Disneyland statement said yesterday.

"This approach offers even more choices to guests, in addition to other value added ticket products such as the Magic Access program."

New prices will also apply to Magic Access Memberships on November 20, with the annual passes increasing 11 percent to HK$3,998 for Platinum adult members, and the adult Gold membership will cost HK$2,228 compared to the previous HK$2,059. The price for an adult Silver Membership remains unchanged.

The new prices for student/child memberships under Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers are HK$950, HK$1,588 and HK$2,878 respectively.

But those with memberships expiring on or before April 30 next year can get a 30 percent discount by renewing their memberships from today to November 19. They can also enjoy an extra one-month's membership.

A "Double the Fun" promotion is available during the Halloween and Christmas period. Guests can enter the park twice between September 7 this year and January 19 next year. Tickets are HK$699 for adults and HK$520 for children.

                                    ================================================== ==============================================

Another price hike... I really don't think it is wise to hike the prices at this time. But maybe HKDL is confident they will be better off doing it. I seriously doubt that.
