  • Deed of restrictive Covenant signed by WDC and HKSAR

Hello everyone, this time I bring you all a deed which signed by WDC and HKSAR for the HKDL - Deed of restrictive Covenant
Just a few month ago, WDC and HKSAR made an agreement about the new round expansion of HKDL
While the Legislative Council discussing about appropriation, LegCo member Chu Hoi Dick found out the Deed of restrictive Covenant (Deep)
The purpose of this Deep is to maintain the a suitable atmosphere for HKDL

To know more about the development of HKDL, I found out the full Deep and published a article named "Modern Unequal Treaties?" through my blog
    https://www.facebook.com/notes/%E9%A...8065727837158/

Sorry that the article is written by Chinese
Let me briefly introduce the Deep:

    - Set up the "Height Control Zone" and "Visual Buffer Zone" in Penny's Bay area to protect the atmosphere for HKDL

    - North East Lantau is divided into 6 lots, which include the Phase 2 and the Phase 3

If you are interested in, please feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer

    Thank you for sharing John1023,

So HKDL can buy Phase2 Land the latest in 2030 and Phase3 land in 2040. I bet they will really wait till the very last moment to do this.
Not sure whether Phase3 is a possibility, but good that they reserved land for that, but Phase3 will be for next generation to enjoy.

      Call me John is ok

Base on the current situation, I also bit WDC will wait until the last second (last minute is not enough to describe xD) to purchase Phase 2.
Let say WDC will buy Phase 2 at 2030 and it takes 3 years to finish the construction, we at least need to wait until 2033 for the Phase 2...
Just a joke, if lucky enough I can visit Phase 2 with my son and visit Phase 3 three generations together xD

        Hey John,
In general I am not quite sure whether a full fledged Physical park in the way Disney builds it would still be build in 30 years from now.
Technology like VR and AR will get to a realistic mobile level to force even Disney to implement it in their park experiences somehow.
We are quite lucky to get a physical Disney park in HK, but I somehow think parks of the future would cut a lot of corners and the digital social experience is getting more and more accepted with the younger generation.
I think its going the same way as E-commerce revolution, with an easier accessible online or local experience combined with a Physical Flagship Store in select regions for the real Disney experience. With the Flagship one being the actual Physical Disney Park and the local one being some sort of Disney Experience center (just like Lego Experience centers) which they can open/close anywhere in the world and drive the sales back to its main parks.

I am just saying that if Disney-Marvel, Nintendo & Bandai Namco can do this today in VR :

I can't really imagine what our kids will be playing 30 years from now and whether they would even come out of their rooms for their own wedding.

          Nice to meet you
I agree that the development of technology is faster and faster. We can't image what will come out tomorrow.
Today, we admire the new technology. But what I think is once technology become more popular and implement in theme park, people in future may like to visit a "pure physical park" since it become unusual anymore.

          Who's know?
