The most original concept of Hong Kong Disneyland

This times I would like to talk about the most original concept of HKDL.



From the hand drawing above, we can find that this concept seems quite unique and special. It doesn't like any Disneyland we knew.
Most of you may focus on the planning and theme zone in this concept. Honestly, this concept really attractive.
But this time I will talk about the location of this concept.


There is a unobtrusive mark which is written that "the park is "cupped" by a crescent shaped hill.
If you take a look of the map, you can find that there is a distance between the hill and the park



Then I found out the map that Penny's Bay not yet reclaim and stitch the hand drawing
The shape of the park is match with the coastal line of Penny's Bay!



I guess WDI still don't know about the detail of reclamation in Penny's Bay while drawing this concept.
So, they just raise up this concept by their observation.
If this concept really come true, I believe it will make HKDL become more attractive!

This could indeed be the early concept of HKDL, it would be original if they went for this concept. But Eisner would not take this kind of risk after they failed with Paris.

However Iger would certainly do sth unique, just look at Shanghai, totally different.

I like the concept of having a show lagoon + hotel right next to Main Street. It reminds me a bit of Tokyo Disney Sea.
