It's mainly based on each country/region rulings on Covid.

-Hong Kong Disneyland closure was based on rulings made by the Government of Hong Kong, not to be confused with the Government of China's. Shanghai Disneyland still opened, as it's not in Hong Kong.

-Japan is dealing with the 3rd Wave. However Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea are still open. The hypothetical decision to close again, would be either be made by the Government of Japan and/or The Oriental Company, which owns TDR.

-Disneyland Paris is shutting down based on the orders by the Government of France. Earliest of reopening would be February.

-Despite Disneyland (USA) & Walt Disney Disney both being in the same country, they are affected by different policies. US's Coronavirus policies are decided by each state, and not the country as a whole. The State of Florida has a more relaxed policy compared to the State of California, which has one of the most strictest politicies in the US. And because of this, WDW is open in Florida, while DL is closed in California.

Thanks for this clearer picture of how Disneyland and its franchises are being handled at the moment. How I wish that by 2021, Covid would just be over for everyone to really recover. I miss going out and do travels

Hong Kong Disneyland park will reopen and welcome guests again this Friday, with reservations beginning from 10am tomorrow.

Park visitors are required to scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” QR code or register their names, contact numbers, and date and time of visit before entering the premises.

Cast members of the park will also undergo mandatory Covid testing before the reopening and will be retested every fortnight.

The park will continue to operate five days per week, with the park closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The park will also control capacity as required by the government regulations.

The park added it will continue with its health and safety measures including temperature screening, the wearing of face masks, social distancing, and increased cleaning and sanitization.

                Splash for pools, beaches

The secretary for food and health, Sophia Chan Siu-chee, also announced yesterday that churches are allowed to let more people join in religious activities for up to 30 percent of
capacity, while the cap is 75 percent for theme parks, cinemas and performance venues.

HKDL can open to 75% of its capacity from this week, just in time for the Easter Holidays. The park already said it will be open everyday for the Easter period.

But I have seen many pictures of people queuing up for restaurants and even snack carts, so hopefully the park will employ more staff and open up more restaurants to cater for the increased demand. After all selling food is a money making exercise!
