  • Pirates ride details please - drops

Could someone who has ridden it give me more details on the drops at the end (any comparison to other Disney rides)? I really don't like drops, but I want to ride, so I want to know what to expect. Thanks so much!

It’s very tame. You drop backward and then immediately go back up again to more or less level out with where you started. Think of a “U” shape, while going backwards. It’s maybe the size of the 2nd drop in DL (California) Pirates. I can’t imagine it would give many people issues.

A truly impressive attraction!! Although I'm not always a huge fan of projections, it is done quite magnificently here. I love the movement of the boat as it rotates and moves into different positions for viewing purposes. Again, most impressive!
As to the drop, I agree it's pretty tame. Different though, as the boat rotates backwards, begins to speed up a little and then goes down the hill backwards. A wonderful take on this already remarkable attraction.
My friend and I rode it 5 times I think just to take it all in. Spectacular.

Thanks so much for the feedback! The second drop on the CA Pirates is the shorter one (of the two on that ride), correct?

Yes, in California, the second drop on Pirates is the shorter one.
