  • [Question] Internet access at MiraCosta?

I read conflicting informations regarding in-room internet access at Hotel MiraCosta.

    I found:

    - No internet at all!
    - Computer with pay access in the lobby
    - Pay access in business center
    - Free access in room, just call frontdesk and they send someone to enable it.
    - In-room access, but only first 24h are free, after you pay.

    So, what is it really?

    Thanks!

    Marc

I have it in writing that there is free in-room high speed Internet access in all MiraCosta guest rooms. I suppose that "1st 24 hours free, then you pay" could fit into this definition, but I highly doubt it and assume that it's free for the length of stay.

BTW, the in-room internet access is new as of April 2008. Prior to that, there was some limited access from a phone booth in the lobby, or you could use dialup from the guest room.

There used to be two ethernet ports in the alcove just off the lobby where the pay phones are. I just to jack in once a day and download my e-mails. I can't tell you how absurd it was to be in a country as highly wired as Japan, and in such a high-priced Disney hotel, and not have high-speed internet access in the hotel room! Now, it's no problem. The Hilton was ahead of the Disney hotels in this regard.

See, I know this must be true, because I heard it on a podcast...

He's refering to members of the LaughingPlace boards, but to be fair as TDLFAN is often over on the board himself promoting MiceChat and trying to encourage people to join up, he really is in no position to complain when Members from another board actually show up on here!!!

Is there any point to this, other than to insult someone who simply had some useful information to convey?

What's up with the insults? Are you angry with this person or something?
