Trip Report Very very short TP

Today 4/29th was the first holiday of the golden week to come this week.
TDL was very slow. Yet! the FPs for Monsters were gone by 9am. Astroblasters has a small crowd and Hunny Hunt was... dead. Very strange.
Gorgeous day at TDR today.
All 25th anniversary decor and bling is gone!

TDS was actually busy and many people were there enjoying the Spring carnival event. As always.. very colorful gardens and lagoon show for the event.

At TDS, "The Dream Goes On" (the 25th Anniversary song) is still played for the "Meet & Smile" show. Interestingly, "Sea of Dreams" (the 5th Anniversary song) is still played at the end of "Legend of Mythica" and in "Over the Waves".

Haha, very funny. *yawn* I do not do long TRs unless I am "reviewing" something. I will leave the long TRs to those who are infrequent visitors to TDR and for those who are more eloquent story tellers than me.

I was at TDL on the 29th too (hadn`t been there since October last year) and was pleasantly surprised that it was not busy at all.

I left after watching the Dreamlights but experienced the following attractions (not in any particular order).

Big Thunder Mountain x 3
Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Peter Pan
Snow White
Mickey Mouse Revue
It`s a Small World
Pooh`s Hunny Hunt
Meet Mickey
Splash Mountain x 2
Monster`s Inc, Ride & Go Seek
Micro Adventure
Pirates of the Caribbean x 2
Western River Railroad
Jungle Cruise x 3

I also had lunch at Grandma Sara`s Kitchen
and dinner at the Blue Bayou restaurant.

I wish it had been this slow when I took some American guests to Disney Sea on the 30th of March (company paid).

I did notice some things at TDL I hadn`t noticed when I was last there, including the following:

1) Reservations at restaurants with PS can be made over the phone without being a hotel guest.

2) The time guests were allowed to line up in front of the gates was 2 hours before opening time (before it was earlier on busier days)

3) Dreamlights had changed (seemed as though the last few floats and possibly the order and soundtrack were slightly different)

4) A map was added to the queue of POTC

5) The hidden mickey in the dining room of the HM was removed

6) There seemed to be more mist and a few new features in the room featuring battle scene between the fort and Barbosa.

But of course maybe I was just imagining some of the above points......:blush:

I noticed that this room is much, much darker than it ever was before, and darker than the same room in other parks.

Yes, it was darker, SuperDry. And the cannonball hits in the water seemed to produce a much bigger splash. But that was done, I think (along with the shots of air at your head) when the new AAs were put in.

Maybe you guys went in there on a bright sunny day? Because honestly, I have nott noticed a difference in the light levels inside the TDL POTC.. and I have been riding it for 2 decades?

All I can say is that it's very noticeably darker now than it used to be. In the battle scene, you used to be able to see the ceiling quite clearly, and it was by far the ugliest POTC ceiling in the world. Now, it's much, much darker in that room. I'm surprised that you didn't notice the change.
