  • [Fun] The Meaning of DisneyS.E.A.

I don't know if anyone has read it yet, but Blue Sky Disney has a great article on what the SEA in DisneySEA really means. Fascinating stuff that I never knew. Those Imagineers are geniuses! And yet another reason why TDS is such an amazingly detailed park. I hope we see more of this story type detail in all the other parks.

Blue Sky Disney: The Hidden Sea...

I have always loved the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, and I  Fortress Explorations. I'm glad the Leonardo Challenge is sticking around for a while; it's nice to have an option to add some structure/goals to that experience. I really wish they'd make a pin badge of the Society crest available already! A cheap one, or a voucher to be eligible to buy a nice one would make a nice prize for completing the Leonardo Challenge.^^

Even MICKEY made his mark at Fortress Explorations.

Yes, that is true Joe, and I see it every time I fly overhead.

I wasn't referring to that. The MICKEY I wrote about can be seen from various place around the Fortress.

There is simply no explaining the "wonderful detail that is DisneySEA". You have got to see it in person to believe it. The park is 99.9% perfection in regards to theming.

Wow! That's great for Tokyo Disney SEA! The more details that are learned about that park, continue to make DCA look even worse, and who would have thought that possible.

And who knows when and where in the future the Society of Explorers and Adventurers will show up next...
Obviously, with the news from the D23 Expo, they will be showing up in one of the new additions to Hong Kong DL. Someday perhaps, they will FINALLY visit the Disney Park that actually has the full word "Adventure" in it. They should have just eliminated the "California" theme, altogether, and just go with "Disney's Adventurer's Park" Now THAT is something that you could expand your imagination in. Instead of being stuck with California.
Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out. Ya can't cover pooh with honey and 'spect people ta like it.

I've never been to California Adventure, but I agree that it seems to be unnecessarily restricted by its concept/theme.

Likewise.. TDS is restricted to it's sea connection, but that does not stop them from giving us TOT and Raging Spirits now, does it?

^Exactly, they find a creative way around it. I remember hearing about WoC replacing the beautiful, yet somewhat tired "BraviSEAmo!". Is there still any weight to that? I assume so, but I haven't heard about it recently. Maybe they're waiting for reviews? And I know they passed up the original TLM incarnation before, but are they passing this one up, too?

I can't even fathom TDS having anything similar to DCA's World of Color. The concepts may be similar, but other then that, it does not make sense. DCA's required Paradise Bay to be drained. This is very doable in DCA as appose to TDS where inorder to do that you would have to stop the main day time shows, and nighttime shows, drain the ENTIRE body of water or set up a very costly temporary dam. Not to mention the fact that you are completely, unnessecarily ruining the beautiful view of Mediterraian Harbor.

DCA has to do this in order to get guests drawn over to the park while TDS just needs to make something amazing that doesn't have to interfear as much.
