[Idea] Soarin' Over Japan in TDL's TL

This would be an orignal take on Soarin', it would have new music that is orignal to it and have our boarding pass instuctor being an Japanese Egret!(or a human will do too.) Anyway, I don't if there is enough space or not, but I would like to hear your thoughts on it please.

Would that mean instead of flying around in a handglider we get to fly in something styled after one of DaVinci's flying machine designs? Cause if so, I'd be totally in for that

we do could soarin as a soaring around the word in a balloon ala Around the World in 80 Days (definetely ties in with the jules verne theme.) yeah, I like that.

I would love if they made a version of Soarin' with you looking down flat, like a flying coaster, but that's probably unlikely to ever happen. Soarin' is nice but a bit too docile and 'done that before' for a park as special as Disney Sea. They need to come up with some thrilling all-new etickets... no clones for TDS!

I don't see Soarin coming anytime soon to the Resort. If it was going to, I think it would already be either annouced or built. The fact TDS where the attraction was rumoured to be located has opted for Toy Story Mania instead, makes me think the OLC have either put the idea on hold or dropped it all together. My bet is that the next attraction for Tomorrowland will be Star Tours version 2, if it proves a suscess at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2011.

Both would be cool, but they could take you back in time to soar over Renaissance Europe. Take the technology and take the show to the next level.

When the filming of Soarin' Over the World is finished in the next few years, you will see Soarin' open at both the Paris and Tokyo Resorts. In Paris that will be at the Walt Disney Studios, and in Tokyo it will be at DisneySea. Should be by 2013 as the next big attraction after Toy Story Midway Mania (which, given the enormous lines for Buzz Lightyear at Tokyo Disneyland, should be HUGELY popular--and deservedly so, I might add). Just remember that popular attractions help soak up guests and make the lines for other attractions a bit shorter.

Oriental Land is pushing very hard to get people to shift more of their visit from Disneyland to DisneySea, and Toy Story Mania and Soarin' Over the World will do just that.

(Interesting to note, by the way, that the line for the Indiana Jones Adventure is now often the longest wait at the park, exceeding Tower of Terror on an almost daily basis.)

Not sure where you get this information from but Paris has no plans in place to add this attraction. The next two projects for the park will be Toy Story Land and a Ratatouille Dark Ride using track less viecles like the ones used in Pooh.

Its also my understanding that if Soarin is to come into DisneySea in the future a major re working of the backstage area will need to be done in order to make room. Yes we are talking about moving buildings, besides OLC want more Character based attractions. And if a new Soarin attraction ever does make the light of day, OLC will want a movie that better reflects the park.

The vehicles in Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Aquatopia, and the upcoming Ratatouille and Mystic Manor rides are not trackless. The tracks are there--WDI calls the ride systems "line wire," because the track is a wire buried in the floor directly beneath the vehicle's path. No GPS or LPS.

Soarin Over the World will come to Walt Disney Studios Paris by 2015.

Hope your right as the Studios could really do with this attraction for 2015. But its been rumoured and talked about for a number of years now so we'll have to wait and see.

I'm guessing the OLC are still looking at that spot in Mediterranean Harbor, but it would require some extensive "cleaning-up" to fit- both structurally and thematically. The show building for Soarin' is quite huge (evident in Epcot especially where the building is not sunken into the ground like at DCA). As much as I want to see a similar attraction at DisneySea, I don't want it to seem out of place and ruin the sightlines of the park.

It won't be a direct clone. You see, OLC is brilliant and is willing to spend money, unlike the WDC. So therefore, there's will overshadow the entirely to general 'Soarin' over the World'

Theres will be a beautifully mastered movie like no other.

I have no doubt that they will have the money to spend on it, but I don't think that WDI will film a seperate and unique film just for DisneySea. It would make much more sense (and frankly save a lot of time) to just use the same film that is replacing DCA's and Epcot's.

I just hope if they get teh Star tours version 2, they would opt to redo the entire land.. Theyre is so much potential for Tommorowland I feel it really needs to be updated. I would imagine the Japanese crowd would go nuts if they had the type of space mountain Disneyland in Anaheim has.

I wouldn't mind a clone of Soarin- I would expect a much better film concept with added special effects from the OLC. It would be great with an all new film, rather than a copy from the other parks.

I do agree as well, that they should really look into doing something completely fresh and new that isn't available elsewhere in the world.

I'm still disappointed in the OLC for duplicating Talk turtle and getting rid of the Mickey Mouse Review for a copy of Philharmagic- I would rather see a new different attraction there as well, or just to have the Mickey mouse review back again.

Reminds me of a time back in the 80s when my Dad had Japanese businessmen in town, and invited them to our home for dinner. He told my mom to try to make some sort of Asian stir fry.

HA! She laughed. She wasn't going to serve Japanese food to Japanese people. Instead, she did a big American bbq dinner, something different.

What makes you think Japanese people want to soar around Japan? They probably would rather a show that Soars accross America.
