  • [Pictures] Shop with Crush

It's been said that the shores of Mediterranean Harbor at TDS is the most romantic spot ever found in any of the Disney theme parks on Earth... so, after all the romance and love, what else is there to do at TDS. SHOPPING!

In true OLC fashion.. here is the new merchandise to commemorate the opening of TDS's newest attraction "Talk with Crush".
    The Tee.

    Pens, folders, keyrings.

Popular item alert. Crush Hat. Pull the strings on either side and the flippers...flip!

    Pins and photo albums.

Decals, ticket holders, cellphone straps, and buttons.

    Popular item #2: Crush backpack.

    Food items.. aka Omiyage.

Ok.. currently, Annual passholders who spend at least 1,500 yen on one ticket, at one location, inside TDS, can participate in a stamp rally and get character figurine presents as they collect stamps. It's a pricey thing to do but, this was the line of Annual passholders in queue to get the stamp good only on today's visit. Remember, you have to fork out at least 1,500 yen TIMES 12 or so to collect all 4 price figurines in the set. OUCH!!! You can only get ONE stamp per park visit; meaning NO multiple stamps in a single day.

Oh yeah.. Duffy now sports a black cat outfit for halloween as well, and this one is not cheap!

Over at SS Columbia.. and under a lovely Cressent Moon...

Some lucky (??) guests and press people were being treated to previews of "Talk With Crush". Sadly for me, I did not have my Micechat Press Credentials in hand... so I was turned away
Here is the lovely marquee for the new show.

Notice the elegant turn of the century style maritime costumes wore by Cast Members working at "Talk with Crush".

This sign is on dispplay at "Talk with Crush"s entrance. Again, I like the victorian feel of it. Kind of reminds me of the original feel and look of DLP's "Space Mountain: From the Eath to the Moon" attraction, before they screwed it up with that horrible Mission Deux revision.

While I was not fortunate to see this show (or maybe I was??), I did catch a glimpse of the theming in the waiting areas inside the SS Columbia. Seems like pictures on the wall explain the "undersea observatory" in existance at the sailing ship, where we would later run into Crush. Who knew there was an underwater window at the SS Columbia??

This is the best I could do with the cheap camera... sorry for the blurry pics. One of these days when I am rich, I will buy me a nice camera, like the ones JoeInJpn and Ichigopara have.

            Re: Shop with Crush

Crush is so beautiful. From the pictures I saw at Disneyandmore.blogspot.com, it looks truly awesome. I do enjoy the show, and it is a nice supporting attraction for any area. If only DCA could theme it like this in the new Victorian Paradise Pier section, that would be incredible.

As for the merchandise, I am loving the hat where you can make his flips fly in the air. Also, another thing I found interesting was the T-Shirt with the crush opening date on it. It is pretty awesome that OLC is willing to spend money on making a T-Shirt just for the opening. And the artwork on all of it is beautiful too! I love that style of design!

All of the merchandise has the date of opening. Likewise was the case for Monsters Inc ride, the 26th anniversary and TDS' 8th anniversary merchandise. This is what makes TDR so special... they pay tribute to their history and referencing their important dates is imperative. Thanks OLC!!!!

It all looks great. I hope that Crush is a big hit. I really do like that show. I enjoy that its different in little or big ways at each show.

                  Great pics!

I'm curious though.. why do you keep saying "Talk with Crush" in quotes when the name of it is clearly "Turtle Talk" on all signage and merchandise?

Because I find the concept of this show so minimal and below Disney's capabilities that I really have never cared to know what the real name of the show is, so thank you for pointing it out. Personally I like "Talk with Crush" better.

I guess it's more clear in the states since it's called "Turtle Talk With Crush"

I had thought Turtle Talk would be an appropriate secondary attraction to add to TDS but the photo report on Disneyandmore exceeded any expectation that I had. The theming and presentation at TDS is truly incomparable.

They are so awesome with their merchandise. That would be a pretty great job to work in that department.

I love how much merch things generate in Japan. So much more of it appeals to me than what the parks have Stateside. My one time at TDL/TDS I got shirts, magazines, a toy of the transport bus, Halloween cookies, etc. and wish I had money to buy more.

Don't we all. It's TDR's merchandise sprees that have me in backrupcy court!

                                      Re: Shop with Crush

I overspend on my trips to TDR as well & may have to tell a little white lie on my customs forms when I get back.

I did check out the Crush merchandise, but only picked up a few things like the pin, button and postcard-not a big Turtle Talk fan. I spent a small fortune, however, on Halloween stuff. I was happy they had the 8th anniversary stuff left too.

I did have a question that I forgot to ask Ichigopara last week about the attraction. Now, I don't recall what was actually said during the attraction since I can't speak or understand any Japanese (nevermind a turtle speaking in Japanese)- but many times during the show, Crush had people raising both their arms in the air & saying something I couldn't understand & was wondering what that translation was.

I don't think sweat or dude would translate very well & wonder what the Japanese sayings were.
