The new Tokyo Disney Resort Times is out and it talks about the event Power of Music! The costumes look pretty cool and the show will have live musicians!






Also it tals about how the Sweet Duffy even will be back an shows the special sweets you can buy at Cape Cod Cookoff. Strawberry roll cake and strawberry pudding and chocolate mousse! <3



It's also covered in DisneyFan but I didn't but it because it was just a couple of pages.

This looks yummy, too! It's like the White Day version to match the Valentine's from last year. I'm kinda regretting now that I didn't get the Christmas one.:shy:

I wonder how the Power of Music will be when it starts next month. I like the Duffy plate and mug too- I wonder how often they will change them- I have the Halloween & Christmas one, but missed out on the first ones that came out last year for the Sweet Duffy promo. If I lived out there, I'd be out of room and money very quickly with all the stuff they come out with for each promotion.

I wonder what they will do with the next Easter promotion- but it's a little strange that it goes till the end of June.

Too true! I plan to spend a large part of next week's winter vacation reorganizing my apartment, getting rid of old "obsessions" to make room for the Disney/Duffy stuff I've accumulated this past year. Something tells me, though, that I won't be throwing out these things down the road. Despite my many misgivings about Disney as a company, I feel that these things - especially Duffy - connect directly with my childhood heart like nothing ever has before, even in my memories of childhood.^^ I think they'll always be special to me, even if they're in a box at the back of the closet that I only rummage through from time to time. It's materialist and illusory, I know, but it's my experience.

I to understand running out of room and money. I have to say its nice that TDR has such great promotions. Even if you don't get them all, what you do get are great. Way better then state side parks. Im so sick of WDW and DLR having the same stuff. And the whole Disney Park logo on the cups and well everything. Its just sad. I remember when each park had different things and I miss that.

It would be hard to live by TDR and to have to pick and choose what you got. My guess is once you have something from all the seasons, then you might pick and choose what you like after that. Missing some things and getting others.

Duffy, not that is a hard one. Where would one be able to stop? lol The stuff they come out with for him is just to darn cute and it gets better each time.

This is exactly my process...

Duffy, not that is a hard one. Where would one be able to stop? lol The stuff they come out with for him is just to darn cute and it gets better each time.

This is the one advantage of only getting to visit once every year or two - you really have to pick and choose what you buy based on what can fit in your suitcase! (JAL only allows about 20 kgs after all, and there are about a billion different types of Kit Kats here...)

Saw this promotion in a JR travel agent the other day, and it looks fun. Picked up the souvenir mugs and plate for Christmas, but I can see myself spending lots if I lived here. Or near any Disney park for that matter! I do want that tambourine though!

The official website is up!


We were at TDL last Saturday and the stage is a really neat shape and pretty big!! The viewing are is standing room only like a live concert.







It wraps around the audience so the sides are ver long.


The stage is pretty high so you can see it from far back.






As you can see on the TDR websight this will have a decoration so not a good viewing area for the show.

So will this show not feature the lame lottery system?

This could be a Tokyo Disneyland castle show that I may have an opportunity to watch for once. Providing I can be bothered to commute down to Tokyo from Osaka for the day in March using the Japan Rail Pass. May as well get my money's worth out of the pass.

Hi everyone. I am new to this site. I am flying to tokyo on the 2nd January to be lead singer in The Power of Music. I googled it for some information and came across this site. I love the pictures that you have taken and im very excited about living in Japan for 3 months and finding out all about the show i will be performing in.

I just wish they had an english version of the official site posted above. I can use google translate but it doesn't make much sense....

There will be lottery but the lottery area is small so it it will be hard to win. The TDR website shows how they layout will be. Orange is lottery and red is normal viewing area that you can wait for.

Ok thats cool thanks for clearing that one up. I'm still happy to see that atleast some available space will be allocated to Guest who are unfortunate and miss out. Its about a 2-3 hour train trip down to the Resort and I would not be so willing to make the trip if they was a chance of not seeing the show. Although I'm going to hold out on making any concrete plans until I get some feedback from the show.

Thanks for the photos, Ichigopara! I love the blue theme for Sweet Duffy this year. Too bad I missed the pink plate & cup from last year, oh well.

Power of Music looks like it could be lots of fun. The stage is very large...maybe it will be like Club Disney, or Rhythms of the World, in that it really involves the audience. It does look like the stage extends far out.

As for making room for new stuff in your house, I totally understand. I have to do that constantly if I want new things. I have limited space, so I can't really pack too much in. I've made a rule that if I get something new, something old has to go. Sometimes I make exceptions, but mostly I try to stick to that. With Duffy...it's not happening though, LOL!

The show “Rhythm! Melody! Harmony!” is a live entertainment which involves the three main elements of music “Rhythm” “Melody” and “Harmony”. At stage where 20m runways extend from both sides of the main stage, guests are invited to clap, jump, and shout to the live to fully enjoy the show with performers on stage.

First theme is “Rhythm”, where Donald and Goofy bring their percussion group on the stage and perform a dynamic live performance. There will be also Chip & Dale and many other Disney characters on the stage to make some rhythms as well. The entire guest will join the rhythm and the live stage will be surrounded by the waves of exciting rhythms.

The next theme is “Melody”, where the exciting rhythm changes into stylish music. Female violinists starring Minny, Daisy and Clarice will be stylish modernized Disney tunes in medley. Female brass band will join the violinists, and the live stage will heat up even more.

The last theme is “Harmony”, where the “Rhythm” and the “Melody” part of the show will merge in harmony. Micky will reappear on the stage, and performers with many different color outfits from “Rhythm” and “Melody” all gather on the stage to paint the stage with the 7 colors of rainbow.
Finally, the show reaches its highest excitement with hot exiting music, brining the entire guests and the performers the greatest excitement of the show. Please enjoy this Disney style music festival that will brow away the cold winter.

Well according to the schedule for 1/20 (I have been waiting for this to come out for so long! ) Rhtyhm! Melody! Harmony! will play twice daily, once right before noon and once around 5:00. Also, Clarice and Marie will be getting their own swingtime show each night around 6:00.
