News Tokyo Disney SEA reach records longest wait time in theme park history!!!!!!!

Yesterday,Tokyo Disney SEA reached the longest wait time in theme park history.
The new Attraction Toy Story Mania made history July 16 9:00 am reached a stagering 500 minute wait time.
With its opening day reached 400 minutes wait time for a 3 minute attraction. the line has reached SS Columbia ship in its end line yesterday.if take it in hours thats about 8 hours and 30 minutes in time

I'm curious how long the actual wait time was. When Monsters Inc first opened I was there when it has a posted time of 320 minutes. My actual wait was around 180 minutes.

A posted time of 500 minutes probably meant a wait of at least 250-300 minutes!

Anyone know the record for Tokyo Disneyland? I'm guessing maybe Star Tours opening (though I don't know anything about when it opened in Tokyo, Anaheim had an insane crowd)

Tokyo is definitely a sight to behold when it comes to not only detail and quality but also wait times. I'm kind of grateful that wait times aren't like they are there as they are in California. Nonetheless I'd still like to visit TDR one day.

I would never get in at 300 minute line either.

In the case where I did get in the Monsters Inc line with the posted time of 320 minutes, I did so knowing that it wasn't going to be that long based on the size of the line.

I had ridden the ride earlier in the week and so I knew approximately how long it would take from different places in the queue. I saw the posted time and knew that there was no way it was going to close to being that long a wait.

Sad thing was I saw many families with kids not even get in line because they were scared away by the huge posted wait time.

I understand why OLC and even Disney in the USA don't want to post optimistic times and then have to hear about it later at City Hall. I just wish they could try to be maybe within 10-20% accurate.

back in the days when I was a kid, Splash Mountain had like a 5 Hour Wait(from what I remember) and I believe it reached all the way to it's a small world...

I distinctly remember Hunny Hunt having a 5 hour wait with the lines reaching all the way up to the hub

The line is still too long at Disney California Adventure years later. They need to mirror the ride in Tokyo, having two complete rides side-by-side to get the riders up per hour(like the junkyard jamboree) . And they're way into video games in that country... so it will take over a decade for the line to get under an hour for a quick dark ride. This slow riding system might get me to try it again in DCA if it gets a fastpass so I can skip the boring hour long que.

I waited for Monsters, Inc when there was a posted wait time of 150 minutes, and the wait was 'only' 120 minutes. The ride WAS NOT WORTH WAITING FOR. However, it was at the end of the day, and we had already done everything in the park we wanted to do. The nighttime parade was canceled because of the rain, and it was either wait on line or go home. Otherwise, there was no way I was going to wait that long. I wish I hadn't, and nobody exiting the ride was smiling.

I guess the first-thing-in-the-morning run is now going to be Toy Story Mania, followed by a FastPass for Tower of Terror, followed by a run to Journey to the Center of the Earth, followed by ... well, you know the rest.

Just imagine what it's going to be like when Soarin' Over the World opens in a five years. Oy.
