Looking at previous patterns and decisions Tokyo DisneySea should get something new next. Perhaps the long rumoured Soarin attraction. But hoping for something more original not related to Pixar or Marvel.

^I'd hope TDS would be safe from Marvel. I could see Soarin' working in the park though, it'd work well in Port Discovery, but I don't know if there's any land spare for it there.

Carsland in the Wild West sounds dreadful.

Everything mentioned so far except for Star Tours is speculation. There have been no announcements on Carsland, Soarin' or any other projects at this time.

Soarin has always been planned to go where the Roman ruins are in DisneySea to the right of the harbor. It's only a matter of time (and OLC are probably waiting for The Walt Disney Company to get off its butt and actually shoot the Soarin Over the World film).

Surely if Soarin was to be built behind the Roman Ruins it would require a brand new movie to reflect the surrounding theming. Perhaps Disney are waiting for OLC to make the first move. That way it can copy it over to the other two parks at the OLC's expense.

                    Re: What's next for TDR?

I would love a Soarin' film that would take place in:

                    California
                    Florida
                    France
                    Japan
                    Hong Kong
                    Mainland China

It would be fun to explore the scenic parts in the regions around all the Disney parks.

I think a new Soarin' would be fantastic in Disney Sea. The best concept would be several different films (somewhat like the different flight paths of the updated Star Tours).

If it were in Port Discovery, it could even be something like the old Timekeeper in Disney World. Ah, OLC, we love your creativity and attention to detail!

WDI drew plans up several years ago for Soarin, OLC just needs to pull the trigger.

Malin, I think you missed the last line of my post: "(and OLC are probably waiting for The Walt Disney Company to get off its butt and actually shoot the Soarin Over the World film)"

No question that it has to be a new film.

Why For the Muppets didn't make it into Tokyo DisneySea

They had some interesting ideas for "American Waterfront" that weren't executed.
