  • [Question] Hotel suggestions when all the usuals are booked up?

So, it looks like we might be able to make it for Halloween. Found an AMAZING deal on airfare (coming from SKorea). But, unfortunately, it's a weekend and everywhere we've stayed before -- Disney Hotels, Hilton, SunRoute -- they're all booked up for those dates. We will only be visiting the parks, so I don't want to travel back and forth into downtown Tokyo if I don't have to. Anybody stayed elsewhere that isn't too far away?

Did you check out the partner hotels listed on the TDR website? They all have a shuttle bus to the parks.

As you've been before, this may not be new to you: you'll have to think about how you'll get from the airport to your hotel as well as from your hotel to the park. It is not always evident unless you can spend a lot of money on this.

Did you try the Palm and Fountain? The Brighton? OLC owns several hotels one stop away on the JR line in Shin Urayasu that are serviced by the Airport Limousine Bus.

If you are from SKorea and traveling with not much luggage, then consider using the Narita Sky Access Line (orange) for Higashi Matsudo, then change to Musashino Line (Tokyo direction) for Shin Urayasu or Maihama. It is half the price of the airport limousine.

The partner hotels can be reached by walking from Shin Urayasu. Many recommend The Emion.

I had to give up . The weekend we were thinking about going -- Columbus Day weekend for Americans -- coincided with a long holiday weekend in Japan, Health and Sports Day. And it was just insane trying to find accomodations for the 4 of us remotely close to the park for our dates. Totally bummed. It was that darn Saturday night that I kept having problems with and we didn't want to have to change hotels more than once and even that would have been a hassle for a short, 3-4 night stay. Seriously, I want to cry. I sooo wanted to go for Halloween!

Sports Day is a bummer. That weekend, plus the Monday holiday, is going to be a nightmare.

According to Booking.com, the following hotel has rooms left for your weekend in October. it is right on the Keiyo line as is TDR, Maihama:

              APA Hotel Hatchobori-eki Minami

You might also try looking at the Villa Fontaine Hatchobori. It's walking distance from Hatchobori station where you can catch the JR Keiyo line right to Maihama. A 15-minute ride.

I just got back from Tokyo Disney, and also stayed near this station (Sotetsu Fresa Inn - Kyobashi). It's an easy 10 min walk from the JR hatchobori station, and once you're on it's an easy 15 min trip to Disney. If you're in a pickle you'll probably just have to settle for these places. The Sotetsu Inn is a decent place. Rooms are small yes, but clean and did the job for us.
