Can I just say that I think it is highway robbery to charge $607 room only that we paid approximately $240 back in May INCLUDING BREAKFAST. Seriously, Hilton! Such price gouging!

We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

I'm at the Hilton right now and am paying $165 per night for Celebrio twin ocean view.

I've had multiple trips planned -- at least in my head -- wanted desperately to go for Halloween, but was having trouble with hotel rates. Still have a tentative trip planned around Christmas. And we might even swing a Spring Voyage trip before we move back to the states next summer!

It would be nifty if we could overlap in the spring! We'll chat again closer to Spring.

I'm curious are the twins actual twins or are they 2 queens? I'm looking into going in April, should I buy my hotel not to get the best rate or how far should I wait?

I think the twins are twins. From what I can tell booking as soon as you can usually is a cheaper rate. I'm not sure if there are any last min deals ever offered.

Two twin or double beds (I can't tell the difference), but definitely not Queens (at the Hilton).

Typhoon was not much of a problem. Had a great time at the parks.

Yes, I booked my room at least six months in advance!

There are even fewer Halloween decorations in the parks this year than last--it's really a pity. And there is peeling or missing paint ALL over the place. Shabby. Lots of Halloween merchandise is already sold out.

Still the greatest Disney resort in the world.

And ... Star Tours 2 is much better here than in Orlando or Anaheim. Not sure why, but it looks and feels better, and the queue is better.

I can only speak of the Happy Magic Rooms, but I am almost positive the beds in our room were doubles. We had pushed 2 of them together and it felt absolutely huge. We sleep on a King Size at home and I know the two of them pushed together was bigger than that.

                            Re: Highway Robbery

The rooms in the Hilton are equipped to handle four beds: each of the two beds in the room has a trundle bed beneath it. It's very common in Japanese culture for many people to share a room with beds lined up like sardines.
Unless you're a Hilton Honors member, they'll charge $40 per night extra for the use of a trundle bed.
