  • "Lilo & Stitch Big Panic: Find Stitch!" at TDL

TDL will debut the new special event "Lilo and Stitch Big Panic: Find Stitch!" on it's 23rd anniversary day April 15th, 2006 and will run thru the springtime months until July 13th, 2006

The info on TDR's official site reads as follow:

    "" Coming Soon!
    Special Event
Lilo & Stitch's Big Panic "Find Stitch!"
    April 15 through July 13, 2006

Stitch from Disney's Lilo & Stitch has decided to make all the Guests part of his O'hana, or "family" in Hawaiian. But when he tries to decorate the Park to welcome them, Stitch makes some big mistakes and runs away! Join the fun as the Disney characters create a huge parade to try and find Stitch with the help of a swarm of Stitch's alien "cousins."""

Seems this will be a new parade in addition to the regular parades now offered at the park. Stay tunes for more info as it becomes avail.

I hope he's somewhere along the parade route, otherwise they are screwed!
      </sarcasm>

Sounds like fun, but TDL desperatly needs to hire somebody else to do their English translations. Might be an Idea to look for somebody who is a native English speaker who is fluent in Japanese, not the other way around.

I don't necessarily think that the english announcements are for English speakers. And if you think there bad you should here the ones in paris.(they have some attitude thrown in)

I was talking about the name "Lilo and Stitch Big Panic"... it translates well but sounds stupid.

In a perfect world, I'd also like some consistency with the resort Names... It should be the Disneyland Resort in Tokyo, just as it is the Disneyland Resort in Paris and the Disneyland Resort in California.

Back on Topic, the parade should be excelent visualy and at least it has some kind of plot, even if it lends itself more to a stage show than a parade.

Disneyland Resort Paris was originally EuroDisneyland Resort right? Paris was the one that veered away from the norm. Even the Hong Kong Resort is called Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

When it opened in 1992 DLRP was known as only EuroDisney, which included the EuroDisneyland Park. Then the resort's name was changed to just Disneyland Paris Resort (same for the park), then when WDSP opened, they decided to make it "Disneyland Resort Paris", which is the current name, and reason why the park is now known only as 'Parc Disneyland'.

Actually, that's not a translation, everything at TDR uses English names and they are pronounced with hilarious Japanese accents, really you should hear it.
This would probably sound like "riro and stichu bigu panicu".
There are a lot of Westernized things in Japan, my cousin pronounces McDonalds "Mac-u-do-nald-u-so"

It's affectionately called "engrish" by westerners in Japan.

Exactly what I was going to say. My favorite picture there is the hotel entertainment menu that says "pray station 1 or pray station 2"

In that case, there is even less reason not to hire somebody who can speak the language and who can come up with a decent name... Like "The Great Stich Caper... Where's Stitch?"

Concidering the truly bad use of english I have seen outside the TDR, what little 'engrish' is used in the resort doesn't bother me one bit. Besides... this is Japan, which is not an english-speaking country.

I wonder if this will be like Donald's Wacky Kingdom...except with Stitch? I hope he doesn't mess up the park too much, LOL!
