yep, something like that, It would be freakin awesome if they pull it off, just imagine Sorcerer Mickey doing the finale on top of the castles tallest spire. and using the Steamboat parade float for the Steamboat Willie portion. it would be perfectly magical.

anyway, about BraviSEAmo, I think the main reason that it doesn't get the attention it deserves is because, to the average person, it is essentially boring. Its message is nowhere near as engaging as Fantasmic's or Illuminations'. I mean sure it has a lot of pretty effects, but that's pretty much it. The story of two gods falling in love and making good music togetehr just isn't the most universal and awe inspiring theme that warrants a night show of such caliber. It's lovely, it's elegant, but it doesn't really have a special spark to it the way Fantasmic's multitude of characters does, or how Reflections of Earth moves us with the abbreviated history of mankind, my point is, in essence, BraviSEAmo's concept is not strong enough to warrant such a massive production.

Cool Photoshop job, even if TDLFan has declared "no Fantasmic shall rise from thine Castle." Well, who made him TDLBoss? LOL. I like the idea, and I think Japanese people might actually be NOSTALGIC of Mickey and the fireworks being at the Castle and might even embrace it all the more cause they've been prepped for it with the former Mickey In the Sky fireworks and Fantillusion. It takes it to the next level, much as their Electrical Parade did from what I understand.

Half of America thinks the Grand Californian is supposed to look like a log cabin lodge but failed at that due to budget cuts.

Apparently no one reads the little blurbs that are on the official websites, haha.
No one bothers to take the tour - there are so many small details that exist in the hotel that nobody would ever pick up by themselves. The buillding has taken inspiration from many buildings of the Arts and Crafts movement as well as it's surroundings (There is a reference to the Sun Wheel in the Pool area). The building isn't a Lodge - It's a house scaled up, hence the huge fireplace and 100kg Chanderliers. I'd say the hotel is as equal, if not superior to the WL.

The building exterior isn't meant to be a Wilderness Lodge - but something that surrounds it (While still being a building). I'll let you take a stab at guessing what it's met to be - and once you do that you should be able to tell me why the shingles on the northern side of the building are green when the rest of the building is brown.

            See, here's the deal:
If a building looks boxy and cheap, I'm going to call it out as looking boxy and cheap. I don't care if they've found a theme that calls for a cheap, boxy-looking building.

The simple fact of the matter is they managed to accomplish a "look" that is nowhere near as impressive as a WDW top-tier like the Contemporary or GF. Even moderates like Coronado or Port Orleans look like they had more effort putting into dressing up their outsides and making them look inviting than the GCH. While we do not have the space to put a giant monster hotel like the Contemporary in, let alone next to the Esplenade, but we should get a similarly-sized SOMETHING that catches the eye.

Our other two Disney hotels are particularly unattractive, compared to any at WDW, TDL, DLP, or HKDL. Give us a break for once on the hotel front.

In theory I'd say you're right. However I'm not sure where your comparisons come from. I'm sure it's just me again, but I'd pick the look of the Grand Californian over that of the Contemporary any day. Are you saying the decaying concrete box that holds together the Contemporary is somehow more elegant than the GC? I also think the outside of the GC is at least on par with the Wilderness Lodge. I think it has a graceful yet warm architecture with its curvy roofs, warm rockwork and nifty craftsmanship. It's nice and handsome, not too prissy or fussy. Sure the lobby isn't quite up there with the Floridian version, but I don't find the place particularly offensive.

Now the Disneyland Hotel and the Paradise Pier Hotel, that I can agree with... But I'm sure that will change one day as well. Perhaps during their next 2001, I don't know.

I think there's something to be said for a water effects show without any kind of serious plot but this one is bizarre. They could have skipped all semblence of story and made a special effects show there that people would probably like more, or they could have surrounded the beast animatronic built under the lagoon with a Fantasmic-ish character show.

It's a pretty show, looks like something I'd see on the Strip actually. I just think expectations are so high in Disney nightime entertainment and BraviSEAmo is basically a "Hey look at this" experience with some pretty music.
I understand where both of your thoughts are coming from. I just feel it fits the park like a glove and it's one of m favorite shows, IMO. I really do undertand where you get these ideas. It is a popular show, but obviously not the overwhelming response that they wanted, I know. The reactions I saw from first timers during it's first month were huge. Once again I have seen tears coming down people's faces. I would love for them to completely revamp the show instead of replacing it. Use the same effects and score, but change the story and maybe add more. This is all my opinion and I agree to disagree, no hard feelings or anything. I don't want people to start thinking it's a bad show here's a couple links:
http://www.hans-zimmer.com/fr/disco_detail.php?id=496 that's the score, I get the chills listening to it.
http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/t...amo/movie.html and here's a short clip, once again chills.
I know people that made the replies have seen these but if there's anyone unexposed to the show, check these out.
